So Wednesday I was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and this morning I had my left testicle removed. Thankfully, early CT and chest x-rays scans show no signs of the cancer spreading, but now I'm waiting to see what type of cancer developed. I don't wait this to be a sympathy thread, but more of warning for all you guys. PLAY WITH YOUR BALLS!!!! Check yourselves regularly cause this cancer appears suddenly. I'm 30(will be 31 next friday), and thought I was going to get past that danger age for testicular cancer (15-34). Discovered my lump two months ago, but wasn't able to get it checked up til Tuesday because of craziness in my life. Amazing how quickly this all developed. Anyways, so here's to my left nut. I'm gonna miss ya little buddy.
Holy jeez I was like OMG his son, then I thought naw must be a dog or something then AGGGGGHHHHH ball! Glad to hear there was no spreading or anything. Here's to your recovery.
Thankfully, my girl checks my balls regularly for me! Joking aside, sorry to hear that man. Glad you caught it early and it doesn't look like it spread.
The danger age is between the ages of 15-34? I would've thought you would be more prone to it the older you get. It sucks to lose one but luckily they came in a pair. Good thing you caught it early!
Oh bullocks! I'm glad I play with my balls on a regular basis. I'm in my late 30's and I often wonder about cancer.
Shit, man. Sorry to hear. Now I'll be sure to play with my balls a little more than I usually do. At least you still have one left.
Glad you caught it in time mate. I'll never forget the first person to let me know how important playing with my balls was. Tom Green - Feel Your Balls - YouTube
Are you getting a prosthetic? And if so do they swap it out right away or do you have to go back and get it put in? Hope you have a speedy recovery.
well, now you have bragging rights. next time someone says, "i'd give my left nut to..." you just sit back, laugh and tell them, "well i did, and it ain't worth it." get well soon.
Thanks gang! I appreciate that best wishes! To answer a few questions without multi-quoting (alittle too doped up for all that). Testicular cancer is a young man's cancer. Which is why even I never make these kind of personal problem threads, I felt sharing my story would raise awareness. Thenames and Process- I really don't know how big the growths were, but I do know that there was five seperate growths that had amassed. Jorod- I really LOLed at your comment, thanks buddy. llamatron- I'm definitely getting a prosthetic. It looks really funny down there. My doctor never mentioned one, but I think they're implanted after one goes through radiation therapy and all that.
