That's an interesting catch, and likely intentional symbolism for the change shown at the end of issue 15.

 

Sorry to necro-thread, and completely divorced from the story -- but did anybody else notice some of the weapon designs from this issue are lifted from Destiny?

When surrounded by the Tree-cons, Misfire is dual-wielding Hand Cannons patterned after Better Devils, Crankcase is packing an LMG that sorta looks like Corrective Measure, and Krok pretty clearly has an Omolon-brand Assault Rifle. Later in the issue, one of Scorponok's generic guards is holding a Suros-brand Assault Rifle.

 

I, for one, don't follow Destiny, so you're probably going to show photographic evidence that a lot of the weapons in this issue were from Destiny.

That said, if it's true, then it's a really nice touch.
