Probably but perhaps everyone who witnessed him in person which isn’t that many people could have had their memories altered to believe him dead or even his obviously intimidating appearance could actually be different in ‘reality’.

Sunders departure did seem a bit too abrupt and clean, maybe he could apppear again later

 

The problem if Sunder is around how will Getaway control him. Sunder was in control of Froid not the other way around.

As for the brains my theory is that is where both Blaster and Perceptor is.

 

Getaway has become Megatron. The very thing he used to push the crew to mutiny.

 

The interesting thing about Getaway, is just....like...generally how sadistic he feels? Manipulating Tailgate was one thing, but removing the sparks etc. of dissenters is something else entirely. In some ways that's worse than Megatron. Megatron manipulated people, but cruelty seemed to mostly manifest in combat situations. This is weird pseudo-Overlord/Tarn level nonsense.

That said, THIS comic is spectacular because it feels like the MTMTE issues that made me love the series to ribbons originally.

 

I seriously hope Getaway's actions of disproportionate retribution regarding the brain modules is explained throughout the rest of the story.

Because Prowl may be a prick and Megatron may be a guy who's done evil for millions of years, but I'm pretty sure even THEY would be baffled at this behavior.

 

Subtle visual thing going on here? First Aid and Riptide have grey Autobrands. They're the only two characters in the issue with them, and it's standing out like a beacon to me. Something else has happened to those two, something we haven't seen yet.

That or I'm mental.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how the situation progresses.

 

It is close to what Helex did even to extent of what Tyrest did. How much torture Getaway endured at the hands of Tyrest? This is like a psychopath would do to his victims and Megatron did not believe in torture for emotional satisfaction so yeah Getaway behavior would baffle him. Prowl on the other hand is logical and the need for control is far greater than Ultra Magnus OCD.

 

Getaway's mutiny being Tyrest's plan B to getting into Cyberutopia sounds really plausible in a horrifying way.

But I might have stumbled upon another theory:

What if Getaway's obsession to finding Cyberutopia stems from him H ating the idea of being constructed cold? What if he thinks Cyberutopia and the Knights of Cybertron will give him a way to be forged? Maybe he was counting on Rodimus and Co. to get him to Cyberutopia, but decided that it wasn't going to happen if Rodimus was a freaking narcissist (it was established that the mutiny against Rodimus was established ever since he saw the Rodpod).

Then again, my theory does sounds admittedly meh compared to Getaway becoming Tyrest's plan B.

(Other idea: what if Tyrest slipped in some mind-control device onto Getaway's brain module during the torture to make him a mole for Tyrest unknowingly?)

Would another character be more appropriate to be given Getaway's character arc?

 

I don't think Sunder is involved because the cerebral cortexes would have been eaten. I am betting this is all Getaway

Really enjoyed this issue, and I doubly enjoyed what it's setting up.

 

It will have less of an impact storywise but possible. However, I would say how can tell if Getaway is being controlled since he is a prick.

Cripes... ive missed loads of pages... sorry if its been fully guessed or someone else has said it... but isnt Doublecross the 'medic' of the monsterbots? if the Brain modules are chewed.. could it be from the fact that his hands are fanged heads?

 

So Riptide's story throws into question whether or not Getaway actually called the DJD on the outcasts once again. Interesting.
