lorenzo recently says that live actions films and transformers one is two separate universes but with connections (probably some elements of one will be in the live actions movies)

i was told lorenzo is notoriously unreliable so i personally believe transformers one is a prequel to the bayverse burger king commercials

I love how this is where he chooses to draw the line despite being needlessly coy about this very thing in the past, the 'new' live action movies can't really fit together with the older ones continuity-wise either but I guess that's what we're doing: animated continuity and live action continuity.

Better than nothing at this point I suppose.

I was rather put off by that decision as well since it just makes their pages even more convoluted. :lol

And suprise to nobody really, was always stated that way apart from Lorenzo's weird phrasing at SDCC about this taking place before everything.

Who took him out back and "explained" things?

comedy option: Lorenzo is being contrarian again and there's going to be desperate efforts by paramount and hasbro to shoehorn One into the other movies.

Based on plot events, TFO and the Michael Bay films are completely incompatible. They just are.

Then again, the status of Unicron makes Bayverse and BB/ROTB pretty incompatible too and yet they haven't firmly drawn that line. But I'll take what I can get!

Oh no. Lorenzo always says the opposite of what's true.

One is actually a Bayverse prequel? That'd make 2007 Transformers 2, and Dark of the Moon Transformers 4?!

At this point I'm waiting for the sequels to Transformers One to play out to really see if this is true. As Lorenzo stated previously, X-Men: First Class was an attempt at a new continuity, only for Days of Future Past to happen. With Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier from the original Trilogy acknowledging his familiarly relationship with Raven/Mystique from First Class when they didn't seem like that in the original trilogy, also the building of Cerebro. Personally, I think X-Men: First Class strengthens Hank McCoy/Beast's story in The Last Stand by being prequel and giving backstories to the side characters, despite it contradicting Charles and Erik stories in the original trilogy.

And as we learn in this franchise, or really fiction in general *death* doesn't always stick and that retcons tend to happen.

Personally have incredible love for new films in a film series that don't ignore their weaker installments, i.e. Alien Romulus and Deadpool and Wolverine, Chucky (TV Series).

Why? There is nothing in those scenes that indicates that, like at all. I'm not tracking.
