News Post: Lorenzo di Bonaventura Talks About The Transformers Live Action Movie Franchise
This guy is a cancer to both Hasbro Franchises and needs to go
I think at this point it'd be best if we just smile and nod whenever Lorenzo offers his input regarding anything and treat it with the grainiest of grains of salt.
Hoo boy, I can see the shitstorm coming... This thread's gonna be a mess.
Lorenzo.... Rember how he said that Bumblebee was part of the Bayverse? What a joke
Now we need live action Transformers and GI Joe crossover movie
While this man is one of the absolute worst parts of this entire franchise, and should absolutely be fired at first chance, this may be one of the first interview bits where he didn\'t say something outrageously stupid. Like, what he said actually made sense? And I didn\'t want to give up on the whole TF franchise after reading it. So that\'s an improvement.
I love this guy just because he pisses off all the cinema snobs. Long live the Bayverse !
so he's just pissing on the grave at this point?? really!
Long live paramount losing 100 million on each of its movies because their producer has no fucking clue what a good movie is!!!
You know, love him or hate him, he said this.
“I rarely criticize the marketing campaigns because it is what it is, but it truly had an abysmal marketing campaign. They were trying to sell it too soft and so it became like we were selling an animated movie or something. But the result of it was that the movie is really loved. It re-engaged the audience in a very different way and was very successful in that. I think from a financial point of view, you’re right, it was a modest success. But for the franchise, it was a big success. It reminded the audience of their sort of elemental connection to these metal beings and why we love them and why we care about their personality. So I think on that level, it was a smashing success. The best measure is we got to go on ahead and make another Transformers movie. ”
“I’ll say this: The first Transformers movie and the Bumblebee movie both got into that sense of wonder and that first connection between man and machine. So we’re hoping to replicate, in many ways, what we did in Transformers 1, which was tell a very emotion-driven story with big, wild experience. Bumblebee reminded us of our roots, in a sense.”
And that has to be the 100% best thing to hear. All of it, even coming from him. Even if they don’t know what they are saying, the fact it is being echoed in the studio is good.
Fixed it for you
I don't get who this guy is supposed to be for when he does these interviews. The general audience won't really care about things like this and most of the fans dislike him. Hell, this film would be better received if he didn't say anything at all.
general audience which is new fans like live action movies not cartoon movies transformers animated movie is best example like bots look realistic not cartoony I talk to new transformer fans that don’t go on these sites that’s how I know this
Lorenzo that you?
This dude needs to be fired ASAP. I looked up his filmography and its all garbage. I predict the next Transformers movie will suck big time.
If there are too many bad movies it will kill the franchise.
And? That's anecdotal evidence. There's plenty of new fans who like other continuities and/or dislike the Bayverse.
This movie still has a chance to be good. Sounds like another Iron Giant plot though.
Not produced by this clown.
