I really don't get why everyone is saying the dinobots could be cars,do people on here actually think Hasbro is gonna slap the name Grimlock on a Chevy Suburban or whatever and its a dinobot even tho it is anything but a dinosaur?,the answer to that is NO.

And further more the 30th Anniversary is coming up and I am sure Hasbro wants to tie-in the anniversary with TF4 as its not only just about G1 but about every transformer for the past 30 years,so why not include the actual dinobots in with the movie?

 

They could be cars/vehicles that transform into Dino modes (like alternators ravage) which I'd be fine with

 

I will must likely buy all the movie dinobot toys even though I am very "meh" on movie designs and I hope that this makes the movie just batsh*t insane

Oh, totally agree. Not even anything wrong with that, either. My issue with movie studios kowtowing to the Chinese gov't so they allow them to show the movies there is they require all kinds of concessions, like X% of Chinese actors used, X% of movie filmed in China, they are very particular about how they are portrayed in the movie, etc. If these concessions means that scripts are altered just for them, I have a BIG problem with that. Best part of it all is the Chinese have with-held boxoffice receipts for YEARS now...they owe the movie studios hundreds of millions at this point.

 

Yeah, well-aware. Doesn't have anything to do with my point. That's the government's debt, we are talking about private entities (movie studios). And it's not even a similar situation...at all. The U.S. Gov't owes China many trillion on loans. I am discussing the hundreds of millions that the Chinese gov't owes private U.S. corporations (the studios) as part of their partnership. They agreed to pay back X% of the box office receipts to the studios and they are keeping 100% of the money. So yeah, not even close to the same and still not sure what your point is.

Anyway, Dinobots confirmed is cool. Really wish they had more Japanese cars showcased in this movie (what's up with that?) instead of yet more GMC vehicle commercials and Euro flash but one Chinese concept is a start, I guess.
