I didn't know these figures existed, so when I saw your Galadriel I thought something seemed off about her. After seeing your Gandalf pics & looking through Weta's site, now I can see that they're going for a sort of animated style along the lines of the Disney Infinity & all those other "toys-to-life" game-related figures from a few years back.

I may very well end up ordering a few of these Mini-Epics figures (Aragorn & Witch King most likely,) but after last week's reveal of Diamond Select's 7" scale figure line with buildable Sauron, I'm not sure I'd have the room to display both lines. But thanks for making me aware of Mini-Epics!

I actually have the additional TTT and RotK pieces for this, but they're still in their boxes

That is nuts! Nice display and collection.

I tried hunting down some basic Hobbit figures for my nephew this past Christmas and was surprised that there wasn’t a whole lot out there other than the Bridge Direct figures. They aren’t bad at all, really, and I ended up finding an MISB/MOSC lot on eBay for what I considered a fair price (probably even a little under what they sold for at retail originally, I think). I love all of the LOTR universe movies, but, I’ve never had much of the merchandise at all.

Wow, great collection! I’m most impressed by the mother/daughter portraits but I’m more of a Star Wars and old LOTR animated movies fan.

Those two SW pictures, as well as most of the LotR ones I posted are from Vanderstelt Studios Vanderstelt Studio. I have quite a few of his SW ones, too :)

I actually forget which ones I have sometimes - I was at SDCC picking out some new ones, and showed him a photo of my collection... when I picked out another picture he said "don't you already have that one?"... I'd literally just shown it to him framed on my wall (to be fair, it had been in storage for a while and had only gone up on the wall a few days earlier :) )

Would have loved to get the Neca Balrog. Disappointed the new figures are done by diamond select, limited articulation. Would honestly prefer if they had articulation like Power Rangers or Gi Joe or Marvel Legends.

Very cool! The same thing happens with me all the time with my collection. Sometimes I have 3-4 of the same thing without realizing just because I forget what I have. :D

Here's what my collection looked like in 2014; busy getting the spaces tidied and sorted and may have a new gallery later this year :)

I was about to ask why Drift has a barrel of ale in this comic. It matches super well in that light.

I am not much for statues but all of these are great. Almost a mix of a bit of animation style and super deformed style.

I have been looking for that dst gandalf that is supposed to be coming hut havent seen it yet as far as action figures goes. I dont recall what company was making the other lotr figures but there is a build a soroman or whatever that tall evil ones name is. I want that baf because it looks great.

Diamind Select is doing the LotR line with the Sauron baf. Pretty sure Gandalf isn't scheduled for release yet. Wave 1 which is Gimli and Legolas should be out or releasing soon. Wave two which is Frodo and a Ringraith is due out in April next year. No news on the release of the other figures in the line. Which is kind of annoying they're being broken up like this since we'll be waiting awhile to build Sauron.

I got 8 of those bitches pre-ordered. Just need a King of Angmar to top them off.

Really wish they used soft good on the wraiths. They still look good though.

Looking back the aragon sort of fits in with the boromir so maybe the human type characters get less disproportionate treatment than others. It is neat but I can see when comparing it to gandalf for instance how it would look sort of out of place.

I was thinking and it would be really cool to get a line of figures based on the artwork Alan Lee and John Howe. Even just a line that takes more inspiration from them instead of the Jackson movies. I don't think there is much interest in something like that though.

Jackson movies are great but there is definately better representaion of Middle Earth to be found outside of it.

Not as cool as your statues but I did find this lord of rhe rings figure today at walmart. He is on the small side for my collection, but I decided I could make an exception for a great wizard. Lol 20201218_161043.jpg
