Chromia looks great i will get her when she is released in stores i am working on a custom axe for Chromia check it out in Radicons Customs.

 

She's not that major. About 50/50. But she has the exact same torso, upper arms, hands and legs. The wings, cockpit lower arms, wheels, lower legs and head are new.

Since this was up during September, is it possible the Combiner waves will be on ebay in November or December?

More like 66/33, the upper arms are different. It is definitely a major retool, a lot of people thought it was a new mold when they saw it. I'd have preferred a new mold myself but this is probably the best use of the Arcee mold since the original in my opinion.

Edit: According to the video review that has been posted down in the feedback section the only common bits are:

Shoulders
Wheel hinge
Hands
Front chest
Front groin
part of the thighs
Knees
feet

So not even the whole torso. If that isn't an extensive remold nothing is.

 

Combiner waves aren't even close to production yet. Leaked samples probably won't show up until around February, would be my guess.

 

My thought was that, depending on when they are planned for release, we might see them at retail in December / January, as has been the way with past "next year" releases (Reveal the Shield Deluxe Wave 1, for example). However I'd imagine if comics are to be packed in that might alter the lead times.

All depends on when Chromia and Arcee arrive, of course. I'd originally heard they were going to show up next month some time but no idea if that's for real.

Light piping is so annoying. I get why it's there: saves a paintapp as you can share the plastic with whatever other translucent part you need - but since you don't place your figure underneath light all the time, the faces just look creepy and soulless.


...wait, what was I saying? Got a little distracted here. Want this figure!

 

What's particularly puzzling about Chromia's lightliping is that Hasbro cast it in the dark tinted plastic they were originally going to use for the canopy. Why they gave the canopy crystal clear plastic for the release version but left the lightpiping dark is beyond me, but it does mean her eyes don't really light up all that much even under strong lighting.
