well even if he was not back, they would've not rebooted, since the Transformers Cinematic Universe is meant to be set in the world Bay have established the last 9 years.

Or a mid-budget animated feature, just for kicks.

True (although I thought Lockdown's crew made off with it at the end of AoE), but still, how can't these damn robots land their spaceships?
Reminds me of that quote from Hot Shots! "You know, I've personally flown over 194 missions and I was shot down on every one. Come to think of it, I've never landed a plane in my life."

Eh, a Transformers animated (direct to dvd/bluray) film that is on par with the more darker DC animated films would be great. :)

As long as Kruger isn't back I'm fine. Bay is a great action director. If the humor is like aoe I would be satisfied since that one featured the least toilet humor. Ditch the love story plot because all 4 movies had one and they are getting repetitive. We need a writer who has heavy love for the series.

Man...it will be 10 years of Transformers movies in 2017. While the quality has been dubious, it's quite the accomplishment that other toy properties would kill to have.

And please for the love of all that is good, don't let Prime be an asshole this time. I understood it in DoTM, but in AoE, it was stupid.

Even though I like Bay's films, I do hope the spinoffs and prequels have a different feel to them.

I agree. It wasn't perfect, but it was way underrated and a big step in the right direction. There's little about it I don't enjoy.

The ship is seen flying away from Hong Kong. Whether it leaves the planet is not certain. Even if it does leave Earth, it can always return and crash. I think it would be cool if Galvatron shot it down afterwards, repaired it, and then took it for himself to gather remaining Decepticon forces in the galaxy.

That quote is Michael Bay in a nutshell. "I don't know what this thing is and I probably wouldn't even like it if I paid attention but it keeps shitting money so more please!"

Not saying I blame him, just that it illustrates the chasm between his relationship with Transformers and our relationship with Transformers.

I'm glad he's the director despite what conspiracy theorists may believe like it's all about the money. It's unfair to compare his understanding of the franchise in 2004 to now. I really enjoyed AOE even though it showed his fatigue for making the films. As long as he's passionate about this films then I'm all for it.
