I'm looking for some interesting 3rd party Thundercracker molds. I'm pretty new to 3rd party stuff, and I haven't had much luck with google since "Thundercracker" is a Hasbro/Takara trademark. Post your favorite 3rd party Thundercrackers in this thread. What the best out there?

    IDW for the win!

Edit: He’s voyager sized. And IDW inspired.

If you’re after something smaller (Deluxe) or something bigger (“MP Scale”), I am sure other people will mention some others for ya : )

Not too concerned, Ive just been picking up a bunch of old thundercracker molds from hobby/toy shops and I want some more high quality stuff. He's always been a childhood favorite, especially the IDW character

Sadly I am unsure if you will be able to find him anymore. He was made by iGear — iGear Con Air Raptor Squadron.

He also has custom made nullrays and a custom made face that was created by @Megatron31 way back in the day and someone else we sadly don’t mention here anymore (all three of my iGear Raptors have the upgrades).

Also, let some of us other IDW peeps know if you’re interested in filling out your official ranks with some missing (and mostly better!) 3P versions (voyagers of course!)

Would like nothing better than to see the IDW threads bumped up more often.

No one has beaten Hasbro’s Generations Springer, Brainstorm and Gen/CW Ultra Magnus so far though. Grab those in the meantime if you haven’t :D

    Ebay:
Depends on what size you're after. For MP you just have the official, KOs of the official, and Maketoys Lightning

For something more Voyager-sized you've got the iGear one that @Honesty already mentioned.

    Or Planet-X's Fatum

I forget if it's a short Voyager or tall Deluxe, but there's also Impossible Toys.

And I think just about everyone doing Legends figures has done the Seekers, but you may not be able to buy them without also taking Starscream and Skywarp.

I should probably mentioned that most of the figures I've just mentioned are either older, or had smaller runs, and are difficult to get these days (excluding Planet-X's, which looks like it's still readily available).

Unfortunately, the most interesting design is dead in the water due to financial mismanagement...

Planet-X and Maketoys are probably the best two 3P ones. The Siege one I’d say is also great. But if you really want 3P sure. I’ll also say that Galaxy lighting looks like sex. But I don’t recall if he was released or not.

Yeah I think I'm gonna start with some thundercracker, I'll probably look into some other IDW figures later on. I'll keep an eye out for IDW threads too

Yea I like that planet X design a lot, thanks. I'll be watching eBay for some of the older models

That looks incredible. Doesn't seem that they ever did release it. I guess maketoys hasn't done anything for awhile?

If i was looking for a Thundercracker, my first choice would be the legends scale version for New Age. If i had more money, then either the Maketoys one (too expensive now for me), or one of the improved KO ones of MP-11 or MP-03 molds. The CHUG versions dont do it for me personally, only the Legends and MP.

Now if you want a more abstract version, you could go with a steam powered Thundercracker (Hearts of Steel).
