Recently I decided to buy a PS2 as mine died several years ago and start buying all the compilations I can find for it, such as the megaman collection, sega genesis collection and the PS1 final fantasy collections.

What are some more good PS1 and PS2 compilations that I am missing? Thanks.

Well, there's more than just one. there's a collection of the classic series, and a collection of the X series up to X6.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence has Metal Gear 1 and 2 (never before in english) on it, and that's gonna be reissued this march in a Metal Gear Solid box set that has MGS 1, 2, and 3 in it for only $30.

Capcom put out a couple collections for the PS2, those are both worth it.

I second the Capcom collections. They're excellent.

Megaman Anniversary collection. This contains all the non portable classic megaman games.

Megaman X collection. Contains Megaman X1 through X6

Sonic Mega Collection Plus. Contains all the classic sonic games

Sonic Gems collection. Mostly gamegear and Saturn games but it's mostly an excuse for releasing Sonic CD.

Resident evil Essentials. If you don't own a Wii thi sis the next best thing to getting the gamecube rereleases and RE4 Wii edition.

Personally on the Megaman collections though I prefer the gamecube versions as they have shorter load times, but so much Megaman in one place is a good thing no matter where you play it.
