Without any bias for the respective series, which design is the best looking truck mode for Optimus?

 

Flatnose!

 

Unbiasdly, a longnose adds more space for a robot, creating a more believable impression that it can turn into a large robot.

 

Long nose.

it just looks more heroic. The long, dynamic hood makes for nice, low-ngle shots that give off a very cool vibe. It looks sleeker and more noble. The flatnose is too much like a blunt, blocky object. It's a square, which seems too simple. It's like an overbearing monument much better suited for villains.

 

Even though I'm not one, with the amount of existing gewunners out there, I can see this thread turning into a war zone.

 

All G1 nostalgia aside, longnose looks better and is a much more common sight on US roads from what I understand.

 

I prefer the long-nose. The trucks look sleeker, longer and a tad more dynamic than the bulkier flatnose.

Plus the Movie one had a flame paint-job, so that helps  

 

I do love the originals but like nevermore saidthe longnose "conventional cab" is more common now days. in the 80's the cab-over was predominant but the case today.

 

I'm undecided. Long nose is a pretty cool guy who doesn't afraid of anything but Animated and Henkei Optimus Prime make me like the flat(ish) nose a lot.

 

I prefer the flatnose, maybe due to nostalgia, maybe because I prefer how it forms into his torso, but there just aren't that many flatnose cabs around these days.

 

I would go long nose i mean theres really nothing wrong with a flat nose but it seems the long nose has really grown on me

 

long nose. most short-nose cabs look really stunted and weird to me and don't leave as much room for a robot. the classics/henkei voyager's cab mode is real nice though.

Longnose, it looks like it'd be faster, and if it's booking it compared to a flatnose, the longnose looks like it's charging into battla ala jousting.

 

Longnose. Way way way way way cooler.

 

Longnose. Lets them be more creative with the design of both the vehicle mode and the robot mode.

Fire Truck. So more likely a flat-nose unless long nosed fire truck are common on the roads.

 

Flatnose. America may be inundated with longnose semis but Europe is predominately flatnose territory. After seeing them for more than a decade exclusively, I'm incredibly fond of them. Plus, the Euro cabovers look so sinister and huge.

 

Flatnose but if a design can be done from a long nose that break clean of the movie aesthetic id be fine with it.
