Hey, I`ll be heading to London soon, and was wondering if anyone can recommend any places to get some Transformers? Any hidden gems of a stores who have a decent selection of TF`s? Second hand shops etc? Would appreciate the names of the stores, and rough location
If you want overpriced shelfwarmers. Personally I'd avoid Hamleys like the plague - Harrods on Knightsbridge is a little better. There's a few Smyths in the greater London area: Top Toy Store in UK & Ireland ? Find your local Smyths Superstore There's a few Entertainers in London: The Toy Shop There's also a big Forbidden Planet (they usually stock a lot of Japanese imports, but they can be a bit overpriced): Store Locator @ Forbidden Planet
other than the above, there is also a comic store called orbital comics near leicester square, they have some TFs, Marvel/Dc stuff etc. you can also go to Argos near tottenham court road, its a general goods retailer. some larger supermarkets (superstores like tescos and sainsburys) may also stock TFs. happy hunting!
I've always found it odd that there are places in Leicester and Reading that sell vintage, yet no-where in London does. (The last place I knew that did closed ten years ago)
