Possible happy accident or not, that's pretty cool.
Talk about grasping at straws.
Though I do love how Logan clearly reconized it was a sequel to The Wolverine, by both music and story. Yoshida was right, too.
Ehhh.... unlike most (awful) fan theories, when the director of both movies himself publicly acknowledges and congratulates the guy without confirming or denying that it actually all was a clever retroactive metaphor to what we eventually see, I wouldn't call that grasping at straws at all.
I like x-2, i just have no desire to watch it again. Days of Future Past isn't a great movie, but it is fun movie to watch, especially those future scenes. I do like The Wolverine more though. I don't really have love for it, but it is one i'd watch again. I'm just not much of a fan of the x-men movies before first class.
I agree 100%. I actually (gasp) liked X3. It's not my favorite, but it makes a hell of a lot more sense than DOFP. Without it we wouldn't have, "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch." Additionally, people bitched about certain characters getting killed in X3 anyway, but it's not like they live much longer anyway now despite the DOFP alternate timeline or whatever. Frankly, I'd rather have closure for certain characters and allow new ones to shine rather than lazily make every character alive all of a sudden.
I'm calling bullshit on that one.
Best Last of Us adaptation I've seen. That final X brought tears to my eyes. I had the fortune of watching it in the morning when all the kids are still in school, but there was this one couple to my left who kept talking. Was irked until I learned they were actually DC fans and unfamiliar with Marvel, so I gave them nice infodumps to help them catch up and suggested reading after I regained my bearings from the ending.
Also, someone on the Marvel subreddit whipped this up. I guess this works?
Jean Grey Centric LOGAN Deleted Scene Makes The X-MEN Universe's Continuity Even More Confusing
Deleted scene that might make it to the Blu-ray...
So pretty much what I wrote earlier in the thread. Nice.
Wow. That's something all right. I'd be curious to see the scene in full on the Blu-ray. Did they say if this was actually filmed or was it scrapped prior to filming?
That was my confusion as well. It's referred to as just a sketch, but then it will appear on the DVD?
I don't think that conversation would have fit the mood of that scene very well. The family that brought them in seemed very trusting of the group, but if Charles were to say that Logan killed his wife, I think that would have raised some alarm bells in their heads and changed the whole mood of the scene. Glad it wasn't included.
I haven't seen it so don't know if this was answered in it. If this is Jackmans last movie and x-23 is the new wolverine. Are they going to use cable to get her in the past with the other characters. Or do they plan to leave her that far removed?
They plan on rebooting the whole thing, technically for the 3rd time, but "officially" for the second.
Reboot as in new casting for Logan or reboot with X-23 as Wolverine? I wouldn't mind seeing X-23 take his place for a while, but not take on the mantle of Wolverine.
How's this for time-line-travel mess. Cable brings her back to join the current x-men who reminds them of the guy at the end of Apocalypse. Just to drop hints who Cable's parents are. Hell, now you could have DoFP Bishop come over to this time line and it would work for his character.
I guess employees are getting pissy at having to wait the entire credits for people to leave.
and it should be their right to sit there and find out themselves. boo on that theater for spoiler alerts!
Speaking of spoilers, I was in a group chat with my friends talking about how great Logan was when the group idiot decided to be an idiot again. Two out of ten of us haven't seen the movie yet and the other guy didn't care about spoilers so I decided to say fuck it.
Heh, technically all true, from a certain point of view.
then the question is; which one was the real logan, and which one was the clone? perhaps the one that she killed WAS the real logan, and the clone was the one that escaped a LONG time ago and joined the x-men...
