I don't think there are any good Wolverine comics left. Well, good enough to make a movie out of. Now that they've done their version of the first mini, I can't think of what other good Wolverine comics are left to adapt. Maybe they could alter a full X-Men story to feature only Wolverine (not that the previous X-Men movies weren't already nearly that). Like the first Genosha storyline or something. But in terms of Wolverine solo comics of the past few decades that would make a good movie, I'm coming up blank. Maybe something late in the Hama run?
I haven't seen this year's movie yet, and while I've heard good things about it, I was sort of hoping it would be the last Wolverine centered movie. I don't see him doing it at his age, but if they could get Clint Eastwood to play old Logan, I would actually be interested in another sequel.
At the rate Hugh Jackman is going, he'll be able to play Old Man Logan naturally in no time. And yeah, I'm really at a loss for another Iconic Wolverine story that doesn't involve the X-Men. It'd be really cool if they could co-ordinate "Fatal Attractions" starting with an X-Men movie and ending in a Wolverine movie. Maybe the "Get Mystique" story arc?
That's actually not a horrible idea. It would be great for the Hulk franchise as well. Probably help him a LOT. Too bad they can't do it, with Wolverine at FOX and Hulk with Marvel Studios.
I would like to see Omega Red make an appearance but I'm afraid he'll be Barraka-Pooled. That would be so hype.
I don't feel the comic book connection at all in any of the XMen films. Jackman has made Wolverine his own character and the changes made by Fox to the XMen universe as a whole makes claims of "like the comic" just kind of a ply for the comic fans.
I would not mind if they just started making a bunch of crossovers. Put Ghost Rider and Hulk into anything and I'm sold. They don't even have to transform, Nicholas Cage is a character all by himself and Avengers Bruce Banner is actually watchable. Won't happen for various reasons, but I can dream. As for solo Wolverine, I'll probably watch it. It'll either be insanely funny or really cool.
Wishful thinking but it would rock. Given the fiasco over origins the deadpool movie and now xforce i think deadpools dance card is booked. I hope there will be others in it from marvel
Too bad we'll never see a live-action Hulk vs Wolverine, thankfully we have the animated movie. Besides i'm tired of Wolverine anyways.
I really thought (and hoped) that The Wolverine combined with DOFP would be the official last outings of Jackman playing that character. I love the actor as that character, but I'm also very, very done with it now. Doesn't help that The Wolverine was as disappointing in its own ways as the first Origins solo movie was. We do not need a third attempt at this.
i have no idea what you're talking about, i loved wolverine. well until it got to the silver samurai being ironman. but that was mainly due to it feeling like the studio said it needed an action scene like avengers.
Fair enough. I wanted to, but I just couldn't embrace it the same way as most others did. In the way The Dark Knight Rises almost forgot it was still supposed to be a movie about Batman, I found that The Wolverine almost forgot that it was supposed to be a movie about... well, The Wolverine and mutants. That, and I found the Poison Ivy wannabe who was somehow the main villain a HUGE letdown, and the end with the straight-out-of Iron Man and Iron Man 2 big metal suit with a tiny juicy human center to be extraordinarily ******ed. The post-credits bonus scene was badass, though
