There was no real reason to make Lockdown a lambo in AOE. It was soooo out of place for him to be the lambo. He could have more easily and sensibly have just been one of the Government Vehicels to blend in with them as they hunted other TFs. To be honest, I think lockdown would have fit better and made more sense as one of the Rally Fighters. There was no reason for him to be the lambo except that Bay had the contract to make the lambo a TF in the movie.

Now I know some will say he looked bad ass as the lambo. And I agree. I'm not arguing that. Just pointin out that the Lambo alt mode made no sense for a bounty hunter that was hunting down other TFs while showing up with military assistance.

 

I feel like that's also why they made all the bots about the same size. So there wouldn't be some crazy discrepancy between Lockdown and bots who should be MUCH bigger.

I kinda liked it because, it gave off that sleek and hunter feel for Lockdown. That's my reasoning for why I prefer him as the Lambo instead of one of the rally fighters.

 

It made perfect sense. Lockdown is a car. Making him not a car isn't very Lockdown at all. That's like saying Prime being a truck makes no sense.

If Lockdown's gonna be anything, it's going to be profesional and cool. Like him. It was the perfect fit.

 

Lockdown being a Lamborghini represents the very essence of why 6 year old me fell in love with Transformers in 1984. Awesome robots that turned into awesome cars.

 

To be honest, if any TF should of been a triple changer, lockdown would have been bad ass as a car vehicle/chopper. His whole pilot-like look fits perfectly with an aerial mode IMO.

To be fair, kinda, yeah. His mask did kinda look like the shield of a pilot's helmet.

 

Yeah and I agree, that's why I said him bein the lambo was cool. But IMO for what he did in the movie, it really didn't make sense to me. It would have been nice to see him at least get into a high speed chase with another Autobot like Dino or Swipe to better justify the "need for Speed" aspect of the lambo alt mode. That's all I'm saying.

 

There's nothing wrong with it. Who says a lambo has to be reserved for a certain type of character?

 

Well, in truth, there really was little reason for Soundwave to be a Mercedes-Benz either.

 

Cuz it's a bad ass car that is all. Stinger is Pagani shouldn't he have been a new camaro? No they wanted really cool cars. That's why all TF car were what they were, to stand out on screen.

 

There's certainly an argument to be made there. I looked at more like intimidation more than anything. All that Lambo has to do is be there, and it's gonna draw attention and respect.

 

Why Lockdown even needs to disguise himself is beyond me. Should be other way around, everyone hides from Lockdown. If he needs to go somewhere, he didn't need wheels, he has two spaceships!

I got the impression the Autobots didn't realize Lockdown was hunting them until it was too late. A disguise would certainly make it easier to get closer to an Autobot.

Yeah I see where you're coming from Tony.. It would have made ALOT more sense him being one of the rally fighters or something.. But I also have to agree with Ephland the kid inside me got excited when I seen and heard that beautiful V12 chasing Prime  

The main thing I didn't like is how they didn't explain how Lockdown got involved with Harold and CW but that's for another thread lol
