I got a distinct cyborg vibe from Lockdown, like he was an organic-mechanical hybrid rather than an actual Transformer (comparable to the Daleks from DR WHO, who are organic bodies encased in a mechanical body). His overall bot design resembles someone in a highly advanced spacesuit. In fact, his head resembles Iron Man's helmet with its pull-down visor. His transformation scheme utilises a blend of Transformium and moving parts (not to mention all the weaponry he forms from his body), which hints at his being a specially-created Transformer. He speaks as if he was a superior type of being, saying that Optimus was built and it was something inferior. He may have been implying that he himself was born and fashioned for a specific purpose. Does anyone think that Lockdown may have been a cyborg-like TF?
He's more like The Terminator...another cyborg but Lockdown is autonomous and can chose to not give a fuck.
Yeah I get the same vibe. None of Lockdown's crew is Cybertronian to me. Those weird wheelers may be mechanical but they are not transformers. To me that means the Creators has been dabbling more than just Transformers.
Nice imagination man, nice imagination. Steeljaw, a "cydog"? yes but lockdown, a cyborg? not a chance
The reason why Lockdown is a Cybertronian is that Ratchet and Optimus knows him. Lckdown was probably freelance even during the war.
Human perception of the fact that, for us, twisting and altering one's body into another shape would likely be uncomfortable. The only case of transformation seeming to be painful was for Jetfire's first shift after being revived, but that's justified in that his systems and energy levels have been practically dead for years.
I don't think Transformers feel pain when they transform, quite the opposite - I think it makes them pleasure.
Very interesting! I always think that he isn't Cybertronian. He and his soldiers have strange appearance Their joints where the legs and arms are connected to the torso is more similar to human than Cybertronian. And Lockdown's body is like to exoskeleton, if not transformation to Lambor I would certainly decided that he's cyborg. And I've said early that it's like that he's a type of ideal worker (more "ideal" than Cybertronian would be) made by Creators.
More than seen/met, he may have been created or altered by them. Thank you for seeing my viewpoint. The fact that he's much different from the other Cybertronians in his backstory and physical design/abilities points at him being more than an ordinary robot in disguise; he may not be fully robotic at all. His Giger-esque look that Bulgarov gave him makes him out as a mix of robotic and organic; and not simply the "robot with recognizable human/animal features" design this franchise is famous for, but the "techno-organic Beast Machine" robot design that merges both organic and machine into a hybrid being.
