We know that the city goverment and the local cops, Capt. Fanzone, accepts the Autobots. But what about the federal authorities and the military? What do they think of these alien constucts? Do they even know they're alien not Sumdac's creations. Isaac Sumdac ushered in the era of modern robotics. But this also meant a revolution in military weapons. Though his company is taking the stance of not building military weapons but others do make them. As evident in the existence of warbots in "The Headmaster". Much like how Alfred Nobel did not like his creation dynamite being perverted Issac Sumdac did not like his work being misused. This makes me think that if the Decepticons do invade Humans may not be as helpless as in other continuities. So far we've seen B-level villains some of them coveting what transformers can do. (Meltdown and Headmaster) What will happen when antagonists with real power do come into the picture?
i think theyve purposedly pushed aside that angle. theyve enough issues to handle namely: - autobots adjustment to earth - autobots vs decepts - autobots vs human villain at this point they dont need another adversary to deal with.
Dealing with that, imo, would be kind of a rehash of something they dealt with almost exclusively in the movie. No need to do it again.
And Starscream did apparently whupp the Detroit air force, all six planes, already. This being Detroit, surely, between right now and the TFA future, OCP try to bring profit to military hardware manufacturing and police services but fail. I know, I saw the movies, you can't tell me that didn't happen with the Tom Noonan robot, and the tech-ninjas, and the bald chappy shooting baby food cans...
Government and Military are concepts too advanced or violent for 6-year olds. This isn't CADMUS from Justice League Unlimited, which would be the appropriate response to giant alien robots on your planet with a Jesus-cube that can shoot a death ray.
Well we know there´s a military. That bomber, tank and fighter that Blitzwing and Lugnut used as alt modes came from somewere. It´s pretty obvious.
But they are not going to begin bringing in air strikes to bomb Detroit in this series even though they probably should. Yeah they exist but they haven't decided to complicate the story by involving them.
Wich is fine by me. Common sense ins´t held in very high regard in cartoons and even the so called "serious" comics. Let´s be real about this, even if they sent the military they would´t stand a chance.
I don't think they'll complicate the story at all. At least bring in some figure of authority and some military presence in the later parts of the seasons, because human villain fillers are getting boring.
Leave out real-world politics (ie: the military). The last thing you want is a cartoon to take a political view. It's already bad enough you have WAR MACHINE ROBOTS as a cartoon, but through modern day political crap in there too? Casey Kassum would quit for a second time without even being hired.
