First some art: Blackarachnia Kind of an IDW style design. I also went to the trouble of designing her transformation; form follows function and all that. Not a huge difference between bike and spider, but still... the design means she can't do the Airachnid, "centaur" thing, but oh well. I was more concerned with what to do with the rear wheel. Head is kind of a hybrid between Beast Machines and Animated.
I like how you're able to combine elements of the TFA and BM Blackarachnia beautifully. I can also see elements of the Pe Arania in there too. Hope to see more of your art.
I forgot to mention, the little nozzle on the front of the bike/bustle, is a spinneret, so she can shoot webbing.
Almost all non-TF stuff, but I have a blog: A Mind Poured Out On Page which is a hub and has links to my DA and everything else.
Shadow Striker and Roulette designs. I swear I don't have a purple fetish. I made them muscle cars instead of Vipers, just because I like muscle cars. I wanted to make the design blocky and chunky like the old cars, but still feminine.
I love what you've done for Shadow Striker and Roulette. They're a bit bulky but still obviously female looking. Are you considering doing some designs for Hasbro's design team? You're pretty talented enough to do so.
I really don't know how I would go about doing that. The funny thing is, I've never been very good at drawing vehicles.
a couple of things, first, technically the viper is a MUSCLE car, and while its my favorite car EVUR, i gotta admit they look pretty cool as blocky classic muscle cars, and i dont think they look too bulky, i think they look just PERFECT
I thought the Viper was classified as a sports car. I'm not much of a car person, I just like the old muscle cars. Most of the new ones look too same-y for my taste, though I do like the modern Mustang and Charger. I even got the movie Barricade just because he was a then-new Mustang, even though I don't like the movie aesthetic. I didn't give them skinny little arms and waists, like you usually on fembots. The idea was soldiers first, feminine second. The other idea was no kibble. I don't mind door wings, but I wanted to avoid any kibble, every part of the car turns into a part of the robot. The roof is pushing it a little, but it is part of the back and you can imagine weapon storage in there.
it wouldnt be too difficult, think about it, since the cars although pretty MUSCLY(lol, bad pun) have still too many hollow parts all around them, so compresing enough to get a femenine sillouette wouldnt be impossible, and well, you did a great job, though i would have prefered them not being too symmetric XP anyway, you are awesome
I know I could have given them a more "girlish" figure, but I really didn't want to. I was going for something more robust. It was about finding that balance.
