Can MPM12 hold MPM04's weapons?

Edit: I think a better question would be are their live action weapon upgrade kits for Optimus Prime that MPM12 can hold? If there is one thing I DID like about Bay Optimus was his weapons ring and all his weapons.

 

Got the SS05 KO and after painting the heck out of him (and a few leftover reprolabel stickers) I'm really loving the figure. I'd missed this mold, as I sold my hasbro one years ago. It really did a lot right, and as others have said about the PF one, once he's properly painted and given some additional accessories he's still a really great figure. I think the 32/44 mold has a bit more presence in both modes, but this one is actually a bit more fun as a figure to play around with. I had to fix the KO's eye holes (seriously WTF), and cut off some mold flash, but overall for less than $15 shipped it's a freaking steal. Plus I have proper blades for my SS primes again! Also, having the maskless face as an option as well as the longer smoke stacks makes this even more different than SS-44 (I have smoke stack extenders for him, but I can't glue them on for fear of hampering the jetpowered mode).

LIVE ACTION STUDIO SERIES VOTING GAUNTLET - 2023 EDITION!

We will have bracket style tournaments per size class to determine the BEST of the BEST of our 5 year and counting Studio Series toyline. Only live action figures will be included. As with last time, the votes will be tallied via Google Form voting. We will start the voting tomorrow - I will post a link in this very thread! Each round will stay open approximately 48 hours or until votes have clearly dried up.

- Three way free-for-all among BB Ravage, BB Shockwave, and DOTM Laserbeak. Unfortunately we only have three live action SS Core figures so far.

- After round 1, the two highest-voted / closest-loss losers of each leg of the bracket will get to return to create 8 per leg for an even 32.

I wasn't around for the last one but this looks fun, some of these are easy picks and others are gonna make me need to mess with both of them before choosing

 

Sad that that the DNA kit didn't include a right arm. Not even those 10 to 20 dollars cheap upgrade kits on E-Bay have a right arm for SS DOTM Shockwave. Meanwhile OG Voyager had a detachable cannon.

How to give SS Leader Class Shockwave a right arm?

 

It still needs work, but I thought I'd share this. I hated hot rods huge backpack, so I decided to make it more appealing (and hopefully small)

The wings are pretty clunky, but so far overall I like this more

Hey, does anyone wanna sell me an MPM4 or LT-02? I really miss having a functional version of that mold.

 

If you don't have a pin punch or a spare pin laying around I would recommend using a soldering iron, touch the hot tip of the iron to the pin for 30 seconds or until the pin moves, if you don't overheat the pin it should push right through the softened plastic without melting and smearing it.

Oh and PS.
Always try to push the pin out the side that the pin was originally set, you can tell this by the roughness on the inside of the pinhole that's made by the knurled end of the pin. Trust me you can do a lot of damage trying to force the knurled end through the hole.

Cool, now the question I have is this: would you be able to swap heads with the ko and official, specifically SS 32/44?
Again I've been thinking about picking up this ko to swap the head onto SS Prime and I would just like to know if that's possible.

True. But I was hoping they would go the extra effort.
In terms of Studio Series, Sideways didn't have his gun showcased in the ROTF movie, but they went and gave him his Wii weapon form the ROTF Wii game.
In DOTM (lots of potential content from there), Shockwave was showcased with a normal right arm. Well, the extra effort budget went for Wheelie, Brains, and Parachute guy... so I was hoping third parties upgrade kits would do that like extra right-arm thing.
