Finally found this beast. He seems MISB but obviously worn down by time. I can’t say I blame him for his less than perfect condition, I have nephews younger than him. Nephews!

As y’all know I skipped out on a majority of DOTM figs in 2011. I regretted that & I guess my DOTM collecting spree has been my way of making up for the cardinal sin of my childhood. Shockwave was one of my most wanted but he never seemed to come around for cheap… until now. What else can I say? Dude rocks. That eye pipping is otherworldly in a good way.

The transformation wasn’t easy but it wasn’t difficult. Hasbro definitely took notes from complaints parents had about ROTF’s difficulty level.
The tank looks great too, both as a tank and as a hugeass cannon for some Kamen Riders I picked up alongside Shockwave:

He now sits proudly w/ his fellow DOTM figures. Crusaders in correcting the fatal mistake of the past. Hoping to get a few more of them soon!

 

At first I was not sure. But now I think the diaclone figure scales well with lemon tree optimus prime after all.

After a brutal weekend at work, this is my solace. This is whats keeping me from loosing it. I am going to enjoy the fuck out of these.

 

Honestly I'd be ok if they did away with clear plastic and just did painted windows and headlights. For the most part the clear windows just show the robot parts. I'd be fine if they were painted grey blue or black.

I thought this mold was amazing before. But the Nemesis Prime repaint is just… it’s on a whole different planet. It’s the best looking Movie figure I now own.

Just out of curiosity is that weapon pack the one that's included (optionally) with the SS 05 ko? I never knew that there were hooks included with the set.
They sell the other weapons on eBay though.



I've been thinking about picking up one of the KOs sometime to see if the maskless head is compatible with SS 32/44, the only place that seems to have them in stock is AliExpress (they were pretty cheap there for a while) but as of recently I just haven't been doing much shopping.

This Shockwave can pull off the Spider Tank Mode. You can get creative with the cannon mount so he can do all four limbs. Or do a tri limbed spider-tank
