True. But I was hoping they would go the extra effort.
In terms of Studio Series, Sideways didn't have his gun showcased in the ROTF movie, but they went and gave him his Wii weapon form the ROTF Wii game.
In DOTM (lots of potential content from there), Shockwave was showcased with a normal right arm. Well, the extra effort budget went for Wheelie, Brains, and Parachute guy... so I was hoping third parties upgrade kits would do that like extra right-arm thing.

 

Options are always good and they've included non-onscreen accessories before so it's not far fetched. The general consensus I've seen for DK-18 is that (outside of replacing the flimsy rubbery bits) it really doesn't do much of note for Shockwave. That and the replacement left arm itself limits his elbow movement by an unfortunate amount, which is a sucky trade off for having solid articulated hands.

Fixing the hindered elbow and including a mirrored right arm would honestly make the kit much more worth it than it currently is, imo.

Sorry, I tried to get the head off my SS44 to try this for you but it wouldn't come off. I don't want to break the ball peg (I've done that before) but I'll try and see if it's possible tonight.

I mean yeah if we're including everything we could possibly want and not asking them to raise the price then sure. But I guarantee that with an extra arm the kit would have been 25-30% more expensive and for me that wouldn't have been worth it at all.

Objectively he looks like he can be a good figure, but yeah he sure is tiny. Looking forward to the Buzzowrthy Voyager figure (with I'm 90% feeling is like this one will be control art based).

There were some tough matchups! DOTM Ratchet v Clunker Bee and Barricade v Jolt in particular.

 

While figures have been undeniably getting smaller I think this guy is just a very unfortunate case. Hasbro has a lot of lines right now and it seems that core ROTB just has even more limited budget considering what we have seen especially in the paint department. I could very much be wrong here though and it's scary to think that.

 

The SS one will likely be better since this is the budgeted movie mainline

Pretty much, the line is basically like Earthspark and Cyberverse's mainline's, more articulated than the Warriors but still have a limited budget compared to SS/generations line. Also don't car about scale.

 

We’ll see. So far I don’t like what I’ve seen from the SS line. Airazor is just a remold from the Kingdom line, and Cheetor looks completely subpar to me. Sure he’s tall, but looks completely plain.

 

Probably gonna be a SS38 retool which will be taller than the mainline one at least (and probably better looking).

And will probably like this Voyager be control art based.

 

Let’s hope!! I’ve been a loyal Hasbro customer since I was 11. But this starting to feel like the right time to jump off that ship.

 

I will try to be optimistic here; a good sign is SS Cheetor's height. That means OP cannot be this mainline size in height.

My theory is since they decided to retool the bw guys, the vehicle TFs had to take the hit to "scale" (also:. Budget )

 

Yeah he definitely won't be the mainline height no question.
