While ya'll contemplate as to whether or not the new Cheetor is accurate or not (using blurry and obstructed shots from the trailer to boot), here I am already thinking on how to repaint this guy into more accurate colors. As much as I want an orange Transformer among my movie bots as there isn't seem to be much, this guy is more on the brighter side of the spectrum to the left of orange.

Is he yellow? Maybe gold? I'm bad at color matching, and I usually need someone else to double check whether the shade is correct

 

From what we can see he does have a orange-ish hue in the film. But it could be a rust/aging thing. So the colors on him look to be right, maybe slightly too orange.

 

I’m digging how Cheetor evokes both his TM2 and BM designs in robot mode. It’s a neat way to also reference the Beast Era as a whole not just the first season of BW. Not to mention it’s basically going to be the closest we’re ever going to get to an legit BM Cheetor update

 

While the toy isn't 100% accurate I do like it and how it evokes his BW and BM design. And while not 100% the BM design, I think it's a better version of that design personally.

Don't think we have to worry about this thread going to crazyville from how civil people's opinions on ROTB Cheetor's been good or bad. Though yeah the ROTB Cheetor thread and for that matter the movie section in general do basically go out of control when it comes to arguments over the movies. Then again the site's pretty infamous for being EXTREMELY negative and confrontational over every TF media and line post 2010 and their respective fans with the exception of Rescue Bots and maybe Earthspark so it's not like it's the movie section that gets singled out.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if people begin repurposing ROTB Cheetor to add into their BM shelf in the future once he's out.

I’m concerned. The fact we haven’t hear anything about who it is leads me to believe it’s a ROTB figure, and if that’s the case we have to wait till 2025 at minimum to complete the 07 cast.

 

Someone in comments mentioned KO of Blackout, RotB is still very possible. New Bee or OP remold.

I hope they reveal something that we haven't seen before already. I'm pretty sure we'll see Scourge but maybe a new mpm and or Rhinox possibly?

 

Isn't Rhinox wave 2 or 3? Maybe mainline toys will get some attention since they are so good.

I think it does, but it looks like it splits in half and then flattens against the chest.

 

I completely forgot about the fact that 2 repaints are scheduled to release start of this year. That makes a lot more sense.

 

I thought they were gonna play it safe with his robot design. It's nice to see them go with the less popular Cheetor designs with this one.
