If the quality holds up... Iron Pioneer 2.0 will be a fantastic addition.

Bee seems to be a little different though, at least in the first renders we’ve seen.

His bottom jaw seems to be pushed up into his face, and it just reminds me of this..

I’m hoping it’s just a “test render “kinda of thing. But if that was the case, then why didn’t they just use the same face from the first movie?

As far as Prime, the crest on his forehead is bigger, the mouth plate, and his forehead are both longer. His head is overall skinnier, which gives his head this weird look, IMO, and the faded blue just isn’t a good look either, IMO.

I’m really just not a fan of this OP at all!!

I feel like that, along with half of his bulk being gone, just makes him look diminished!! I’ll still buy it, but that’s more of a “I have a problem” type of thing lol.

I would love to have an awesome TFs Prime OP in my collection, but it HAS to transform!!

 

Which Hound are we talking about? Bayverse or '86? I'd love a new AoE Hound with proper accuracy and good articulation!

 

They’re just control art renders for the film. We had the same thing with the BBM Bee renders face.

In the movie he (like in the bbm) looks fine.

The head looks fine and about the same to me but less detail and different detail. And the blue is 100% the unfinished part and bad lighting. Case later on in the trailer his blue is brighter.

Inspired by that Pachinko trailer I decided to toss the twins to blackout.

Blackout: “Enough of your incessant bickering, you will share with me the location of Optim-

Mudflap - “The location of our ice cream cones?”
Skids - “Nah way, big boy like you should probably lay off the calories”
Blackout - “That’s it I’m feeding you both to Scorponok”

 

Bee’s face like normal in both pics to me, but maybe that’s just me. But like I said though, it cld just be basic render type of thing.

I’ll def give u the blue, but the proportions of the head are def different from the first movie. I’m happy for those that are fine with OP’sc new look. But for me, it’s just meh.

it’s definitely a bit smaller. For me I think the design is fine-meh, I don’t think it’s the worst thing ever like some but I think still it’s likely many feel a downgrade from BBM Prime. Hopefully it looks better in the film I guess.

 

I had a thought that I'd be interested in hearing people's opinion on. Would you guys be interested if Blackout/Grindor got re-released in the Buzzworthy line? Maybe he they could stay the same or maybe they could have a black deco paint job like the other Nest figures?

 

I know I would be. Blackout is one of, if not the best decepticon design. I'd love to see a buzzworthy form of him as maybe, like you said, a nest blackout, or maybe even an evac or springer! (Rong alt mode, I know. He's only a concept character anyway)

 

Personally it would be a pass since I have him but that would be nice for those that don’t and a Nest deco could be cool.

So good that it was the first movie design to make it into TF Animated.

 

The Blackout/Grindor mold would be a fantastic choice! The N.E.S.T repaints are so evil! The deco is just so good that they know people will buy them. For example, I've got a Bonecrusher on the way and I'm planning on replacing my original with the repaint (aside from wanting a new 'Crusher because my original one is damaged lol) because it just suits the character better. It's a complete win-win for Hasbro/Takara in that regard. It looks great on any character and could actually be the preferred deco for many.

 

I've personally still been holding out for a Blackout reissue, if only because they really need to release his deco with Grindor's remolded hands. There's no reason for Blackout to remain as the outdated version of the two. I'd also 100% be down for a NEST Redeco too. A jet black (or dark Grey) Helicopter would be bad ass, no matter how you slice it.

Wouldn't want either of these too soon though to be frank, as there are a handful of other Leaders who could really use the re-release slot before either of the Helicopter Boys do.

Been thinking about adding a brown wash to SS Dotm Megs but wanted ask everyone's opinion on what brand of paint I should look for? Valleyo, citadel? I've never done a wash before so info would be helpful!!!

 

Lucked out today and found Cliffjumper at a local 2nd hand toy store. I like him well enough, but Buzzworthy B-127 is objectively better. Cliffjumper's legs won't close all the way while B-127's will and Cliffjumper's head also doesn't want to close all the way while attached to the body. Still glad to have him though. Also ordered all 3 Seekers and Soundwave from BBTS.

Just got him today. They've done an amazing job on this sculpt. I've always loved this design and tony todd did a brilliant job, I'm totally having a squee moment now.

The two share the same engineering, right?

 

B-127 and Cliffjumper are the same mold aside from the head. It's just that the tolerances on my copy of Buzzworthy B-127 are much better than Cliffjumper. They also share engineering with Offroad Bumblebee.
