Thanks I think I'll make the right choice on which to get first. I'm truly feeling the Optimis one first then maybe the Jetfire. I'm not to keen on the Megs one yet seeing as I have the ROTF SS one and will be displaying that one alot in the future. Still though who knows. Now besides those 3 what do you all think about these two?

 

If we were getting another AOE/TLK Knight Optimus figure, which class do you feel it fits him better, voyager or rather a leader class?. I know a lot of you are not willing to pay 55-60$ for a glorified voyager toy with extra pieces, but in my opinion a voyager toy would be full of compromises.
At the leader price tag, he can be painted, with all the accesories and probably with a slightly better engeenering than the already great galvatron.

 

Oh right Fireburst! Yeah that was one of the only good mechtech weapons. It was so desirable at the time that it was actually common to find that figure at retail with the front ripped open and the weapon missing. The robot mode for that mold wasn't good at all but the truck mode was cool as was the weapon.

The Optimus ones are essential, especially the jetfire one. I'll never rebuild Jetfire just because combined mode with the kit is so good (especially after a couple small mods and some paint).

I use the OSKO challenger which looks OK as long as you're not obsessed with scale but yeah, he literally scales with nothing that exists.

Neither is essential unless you really like the wreckers. Having ankles for Dino is awesome but the rest of the dino/shatter kit is useless to me.

I think voyager with the sword and shield would be fine but if it's a really good figure with good engineering, plus ALL of his weapons, then I'd be fine paying for a leader. That design is so hard and if they really knock it out of the park I'd pay anything. I love voyager scaled Primes if they're done well.

 

I'd say, Leader. For paint, accessories, and higher parts count/better engineering to be even better than Galvatron while being voyager-sized still. It could maybe work as a Voyager probably but the Leader budget will give it that little extra kick to be even better. And while Hasbro loves Megatron, they loved Optimus a bit more.

And while personally, I'm not a big fan of the design, I hope it's done well, and maybe I'll like it better in toy form than in the movie.

 

Eh I think a voyager would work perfectly fine. He isn’t supposed to be any larger than Galvatron so I see no reason he needs to have more engineering than him as well as be $20 more.

Though if it were a leader, better come with all his stuff, have no backpack, hollowness and be painted well.  

 

Hmmm. Now that you mention it, I did buy the deluxe version that came with the swords and axe. I completely forgot they released 2 versions of the kit. Sorry @AutobotJazz1, I forgot about that and looks like DNA only reissued the standard version.


Regarding the wreckers, I honestly think it's worth it mostly for Topspin to give him the extra height and help with the warping weapons. But the accessories and weapons for the other wreckers helps live up to their name.

Shatter and Dino is honestly an overpriced mixed bag. Should have been 20 max. Helps Dino mostly as I never had an issue with the panels for Shatter, but if you have Car Shatter, might as well give her the head she deserves. Honestly, up to you.

 

I dunno, I feel like he scales okay with the OSKO BS-03 Challenger.

I thought Frenzy, but I’m pretty sure this is codename “Delta 1” which should be released along with Core Arcee and Primal in wave 1.

I could imagine reveals will be soon if Amazon already has the product images. I’m more interested in what they call this character. I’m thinking it’s some sort of generic spider predacon.

I think for now I'll just go for the Jetfire one. I do wanna upgrade Optimus but I gotta find the deluxe version first.

A leaders class figure for me at least. That design is atrociously hard to put into form so in my opinion it needs as much of a budget it can get. I'm talking good ass paintjob and his full load of weapons.


@Shmoptimus Prime do you know where I can at least get some good swords and hooks for SS44?
