Stinger was and still is a banger. We waited a decent amount of time to get a mainline version that wasn’t a repaint of Bee. Mine has a movie accurate gun but even without it he’s a excellent figure with an excellent vehicle mode. 86E9D302-0FF5-4090-A3BF-0E5E9CB7F551.jpeg

Not necessarily a bad thing, but when the figure lacks clearance or it makes it feel fragile then it is a problem

I want to pubblicly say a huge thank you to the nicest guy of the forum and great friend @erwinsims for giving me one of the best week in my life as a Tfs collector!
He sent me just before Christmas a huge box with his wonderfully repainted OS SS Sentinel (he just wanted to swap his with mine, which was totally original) and a dmk Ratchet from Leafage Design. I bought it unassemble and unpainted from Capcomkai and Erwin made a huge work on It. It looks incredible and the level of detail and paint is on par with my 3a Optimus and Jetfire. I love It! He even made a couple modification to improve shoulder and waist articulations, which are now even better that the mpm's one!! It's really a work of art! Everyone who frequents this forum knows how good Erwin is at painting, so I'll let the pics talk for me.

He was even so kind to send me a Rotf Jolt and a 3d big gun for Optimus, without even telling me. It was such a great surprise!! Thank you for being a wonderful human being, Erwin! And I can wait to see the next projekts we have planned!
And in the end, my dmk family is growing up!

I love the accuracy and level of detail on these figures, they are simply great!

I’ve been looking for a robot replicas Bee for a long time (and the packaging is awesome!), and then I picked up a loose SS DOTM Bee for a future repaint!

So, I was watching a recent theorymus video where he broke down the ROTB trailer, and he explained why the maximals look technological, save for patches of fur. His idea was that it's not just a design choice. The maximals probably used to have fur on all of their alt mode to masquerade as huge beasts, but they are really old, and their outer armor is very rusted and deteriorated.

To add to this, I imagine that they might be the cause of many ancient legends about mythology, as often gods in mythology were animalistic humans (think Egyptian mythology), or just straight up animals. A lot of mythological creatures were also just giant animals, so sightings of the maximals (and possibly predicons) would definitely cause some people to think that mythological creatures walk the earth. A lot of myths also portray the gods or creatures anhialating entire villages or civilizations, which, of the preds we're on earth at the time of the ancient civilizations, is totally plausible as they might not care about laying low as much.

    For me it's like this:
My first hot rod sucked to actually handle, but I could see why people liked it. My second one is great and I love it. I don't find it complex at all, it's just very well engineered and a great transformation. SS modern camaro bee (all three of them) is also an excellent example of great engineering at a small scale, although to truly be considered a "mini masterpiece" he'd have to have the backpack not just be the hood of the car. I personally like the way they've been going, where I can have a decently accurate and decently posable figure of the most complex and intricate designs of the whole franchise, all in the palm of my hand or even in my pocket.

Yeah, maybe I just didn't get a good copy. Were the back panels slipping out just by rotating them on your first?

"I'm like a fat ballerina! Who takes scalps and slits throats!"

Hound was crazy in the best way.

That would make sense especially for Primal and Cheetos, however I wonder why Airrazor doesn't have actual tattered feathers?

I think what your talking about is how ancient gods were depicted as being chimeras. The mythology angle is a good one though as far as the Maximals go, with them arriving in Peru in ancient times and eventually fading into legend and being forgotten (Rotf had something like it with the language of the Primes), imagine Wheeljack actually studying the "legend" but calling it myth and then being shocked or freaked out when he first meets the Maximals. God that'd be hilarious to watch.

Unrelated note: Battletrap's head design reminds me of Sentinel Prime's helmet.

I think the studio series voyager (plus its DNA Design kit) makes it the most visually appealing version of the character.

100% agreed. Ever since we heard about their designs that what I thought. When they first got to Earth they where fully covered in organic material (like the show). But due to battles and age, the fur, hide and feathers feel off and more of there inner robotics starting showing and due to that some rust is there as well.
Probably, I think they definitely had some impact on history. And at the least likely with the Aztec.

Which I know some will get pissed about another “TF’s impacting our history thing” but if anything in TF’s works for that imo it’s Beast Wars.
What shocked me was that I personally found it better and more enjoyable version of the character than the MPM. Which for a MP and it’s price is very disappointing and sad.

Yeah there’s nothing enjoyable about MPM Ironhide’s transformation… well it’s fine until everything has to come together anyway.
