I agree with your take. Modern Camaro Bee, outside of a few flaws like the backpack, is just so…satisfying to look at and fiddle around with. It’s all the more impressive when considering how small it is.

I’ve heard someone (quite aptly) call Transformers ‘hand candy’, and with figures like Bumblebee it couldn’t be more true. I have him standing on my desk and it’s just such a fun, accurate, and well designed figure. Definitely planning to nab Hot Rod as the figure just looks stunning, even if the movie he’s from isn’t my cup of tea.

 

SS Bayverse Bees when the tolerances are good are absolutely lovely.

Here is my new replacement Soundwave and finally a Laserbeak!

yes i know about that tiny bit of blue paint on the speaker, it's been fixed.


Painted Soundwave's head entirely silver as it reminded of the DOTM Deluxe and I simply preferred it that way. Also painted his headlights mantitties cause I liked the way The Lazy Eyebrow had it.



Here's the full bot mode without Laserbeak. And yeah, blue speakers baybee. Prolly will improve on them in the future slightly.


As for Laserbeak, he has been entirely painted in silver except the feathers and his thrusters. Also some gold to make his beak defined.




Overall hope you like him as much as I do. He will be not only main Soundwave but also entirely for display as not only transforming him would chip the paint but also one of his backpack's hinges is pretty badly stressed. For the Mercedes I will just use my old failed custom and broken Soundwave.

Thanks to him I learned what to NOT do when starting customization.  

 

I’m not savio but I do have that figure and he’s pretty solid for the most part. The door kibble on the arms still like to unpeg sometimes, but aside from that he’s way better than the official, once you add some paint like on the eyes.

Absolutely! I’ve said before that that mold could dollar for dollar be my favorite SS figure in terms of hours that I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve modded and painted all three of them too, which makes them even better.

How are the joints? I believe it was @Lockon Prime who said the ankles are unstable.

 

On the subject of MPM Ironhide, I will say, from the waist down, he's great. It's everything up top that makes him a mess.

Yea, mine kept tilting backwards, cuz the ratchet joints were useless. I eventually got replacement feet from ShowZ, and while they were better, they still weren’t the best.

Also, there are pieces that don’t tab in securely, like inner thigh pieces, as well as the piece that plugs into his butt, that connects to his gun, which like to fall off all the damn time.

The kit is def good to have, have a ROTF Prime in your collection.. but only as a display piece, and not to play/fiddle around with.

 

Pretty much. Honestly if you combined the waist down of MPM Ironhide, the head, and the upper half of SS Ironhide (with adjustments obviously) you'd have a great MPM Ironhide.

 

Can’t complain. Obviously, the whole thing is a little unwieldy, but I suspect it holds together as well or better than the ThreeZero combo. Here’s a comically wide stance pushing that ankle tilt and bend:
