I'd argue we got some great voyagers out of the line. All but Grimlock were top notch, and even then, it was a better version of the figure then AOE.

Yes, it is the BC-01 Optimus (blue circus Optimus at 29 cm/11.4 inch) and BMB Ironhide

I've never thought about it setting up a new trilogy, but you're right. It was a perfect start because it opened so many doors and the idea of cybertronians being unwelcome to Earth was a captivating start.

I feel like crying when realising how much wasted potential there was. :(

I think AoE was supposed to be Bay's way of setting up a new start for the next director because as we all know each TF movie was supposed to be his last. Most of the old human and robot cast was gone and the Autobot's relation with the military had been strained due to the corruption by Attinger. 2nd trilogy should definitely be more G1 inspired in that the Autobots are more independent instead of being best buds with the US military.

So… if I want an inscale MP collection, I’d need to get an oversized Optimus, Ironhide, and Ratchet? But then what about the Decepticons? I doubt MPM Starscream or Megatron scales with those.

I kinda wrote off painting up figures and whatnot, but after seeing that Toyhax began putting out stickers for the Studio Series Constructicons (well, for some of them)
....it made me want to give them a weathering and sticker upgrade.

I'm almost ready to reveal all 8 of them, and I cannot believe how UNREAL they look with some "dirt" and "oil" etc, etc weathering; especially in bot mode.
    well, here's a sneak peak:

For Megatron the BMB OS ROTF prime is great, as is the OS 2007 mpm Megs..
There is a OS Starscream and if you don't mind the altmode he is great with them.
there is a DOTM one coming but I dont know the scale obviously.

As for Prime and Ironhide, yes OS are a must. We now have the BMB one witch is great but there seems to be a better one coming (Black Apple’s last bot) but this one is great.

for Prime it is either WJ/BA thunder leader or BC-01 Truck commander.
Plus if you keep the mpm cars as scale, you have a lot of 3p beauties like Mista and La hire

There are OSKOs of starscream and megatron now you can get too, but at this point it's getting ridiculous and someone should just make a smaller bee and jazz instead of OSing everyone else. Right now I just worry about having the OG 5 autobots in scale, which means I have hasbro jazz bee and ratchet and I have BMB Ironhide and BA Optimus. They look amazing together!
Yes! I did that on my 07 bee too.
