Yeah this isn't even shared engineering. That's like saying any figure that has a double joint on the leg is shared engineering. Or any figure that's foot folds out is shared engineering. None of the parts on this figure end up remotely in the same place as Jeep Bee/B127/Cliffjumper, who are reminds/retools of each other. One part of the leg sort of shares engineering, that's as close as it gets.

Somehow I feel like you're both kinda right? I think the real issue is that the fandom doesn't really have a good term for things like this. I'd say shared engineering is the closest but I think this is a tad more than that. Anyway, It won't bother me that much as long as its solid. B-127 is a much more fun figure than cliff even though they're almost the same, since he was more solid. This one looks like a brick.

I think a good example of shared engineering from figures I have is between TFP FE Optimus and SS 05 Optimus.

Their molds are 8 years apart, with no shared parts, but their upper bodies transforms exactly the same way.

 

Look dammit at the end of the day we're more cool transformers designs. What's the damn problem???

Got ahold of the FEITE Dia-Nauts cockpit adapter for titan master figures but is not universal. Interestingly enough, for our compatible figures, it looks best in SS Thundercracker.

Hopefully those two can be as clean and well engineered as Wheeljack. I almost spit my drink when I saw the in-hand pics, it’s like Hasbro took a whole year off from everything else SS and spent all their time just on him and making him as perfect as possible.

 

Me too, I was really surprised by how well he turned out 2022 is looking to be a very strong year for SS.
