The PS2/Wii version of the ROTF had a story so much better then the film itself.
Split's currently in his alt mode, then I might return all of them back in combined mode once I finish my paper hahahaha. I guess removing the cab at the mushroom peg would help his stability, but I never tried it since I think Split is fine as is, I slightly transform the back to better distribute the mass and when I display him in bot mode I either stick him on a stand or use the long arms as support. When I first got him he can stand fine on his own, but since I've transformed him for so many times now, his does a split if the table moves too much and he's simply standing with no support.
Btw, I have a few tricks and mods on how to transform Split easily, once you get yours, I'll be happy to share it if you want (I'm not sure if I shared it in the main DS thread).
Yeah, from what I've read in weibo, Sweeping is almost ready to be released. I hope it gets released in a month or two.
Oh yeah those elbows, god, I love how they took the SS mold and sprinked some DS magic on that design. I also love how they incorporated highly articulated and extended tread whips, and how the excess length folds in under the alt mode.
I was also kinda disappointed how stumpy the tail looks, they could have added the folding thingy under the built-in stand like what the MT OS version did, I guess I'll just have to pretend that the rest of his tail is underground or something hahaha.
And yes, that's how my Giant Axe broke huhu.
Took me a month to develop a fix for that hinge.
First I tried to attach the snapped off hinge again with plastic cement and reinforce it with a steel pin. It worked for a few weeks but the hinge was so loose, the part was flopping all over, so I tried to tighten the hinge with clear coat. IT SNAPPED CLEAN AGAIN.
For my 2nd Attempt, I removed the pin, looked for a screw with appropriate dimension, heated it a bit, then I shoved it to the hole in the panel, then I forcibly screwed it in the hole connecting to the main tread. Good as new, the broken part is barely noticeable.
That's a true MPM. Mainly because it's movie accurate.
Went to the beach with these two fine gentlemen yesterday:
Yeah that'd be awesome thanks dude!
I actually have a junker SS Rampage and I was wondering if I could take the end of the tail for that one and mod it to fit on the end of Sweeping's tail but I'm not sure yet (since I don't have Sweeping yet obviously) if that'll work. You're right that the stand part could have doubled as extra tail length, that would have been smart!
Dude that SUCKS! I hate it when you think you've gotten something figured out then it breaks again. That happened to one of the smoke stacks on my UT Challenger. Fortunately my second attempt was WAY more stable.
Oh definitely, just like the PC version of ROTF it gave Sideways and Starscream more presence and the fight with Devastator was very enjoyable even though it felt like a GOW boss fight.
The fight with The Fallen was laughably easy though, it made the fight in the actual movie look balance.
What is this?
That's a cool toy, but it's not a movie toy
He’s in a confusing category.
Is anyone here british? If so I was wondering how hard was it to get SS Leadfoot?
It honestly wasn't difficult at all. In fact, he's still available at a few online retailers.
Alright, well, I won an auction for a Premium Series Blackout tonight, so I guess now I need to find Deep Space Starscream, Premium Series Prime, and maybe MtB Bonecrusher and APS-02 Brawl. Or I can settle with the original Bonecrusher and Leader Brawl that I already have. If I'm just going for premium finish versions, I suppose I could substitute in MPM-01 Starscream in place of Deep Space, since he's the first movie look...thoughts?
MT Mixmaster looks amazing, I might trade my ROTF Voyager for him:
What’s the context behind this frame?
Prime and Megatron have a battle in the Decepticon base that ends with Prime being impaled like in the forest battle. After Megatron leaves, Bumblebee (who was previously captured in the Decepticon base) doesn't want to leave Prime's body there, so Jetfire loads him into an escape pod and jettisons it.
The pod ends up in Egypt, where Jetfire tracks him down, finds a not-quite-dead Prime, and they form Jetpower Prime.
I had so much fun playing the ROTF game on the Wii when I was younger, I just couldn't pass the final quicktime event to take out The Fallen for years. I found it again a few years ago and finally beat it!
If anyone hasn't played the game, you need to check this out. This is an actual line from the game:
It's supposed to be "sucker", but that is absolutely not what it sounds like xD
Aww sweet, I love the RE:Village Heisenberg fight
Is that the same size as the original? Might look for one online
EDIT: over sized. Dang
Are ss bonecrusher and rotf starscream any good?
Bonecrusher is just ok IMO, he’s not bad or anything, just not super interesting.
While I don’t own the ROTF version yet, SS Starscream is one of the line’s best figures. I’d highly recommend it.
