Yeah I know, it just looks way better with the added paint (no surprise there)
Gotta love how they take the worse quality pics ever Leakers always using a potato
Without a doubt! But if they look close to this in the movies, I will like them!
Not displaying your figures from the back is not an excuse for a figure having kibble like this lol.
It’s not really “accurate” either, but I’m sure it’s mis-transformed in the pics
People for some reason act like these figures aren’t 3D objects and always use the “display it backwards” argument to justify lazy engineering.
People for some reason act like Hasbro is staffed by wizards who can perform miracles with $20 toys and always use the 'lazy' argument to justify their constant bitching and whining.
Lol taking this discussion about toys rather personally there. Incorporating the car into the robot mode isn’t a miracle, every other figure has done it.
Well, most have. I feel that, in Studio Series, it's becoming increasingly rare.
Indeed. It’s one of the main reasons I’ve skipped all the deluxe releases. They just don’t seem to bother anymore.
There's nothing personal about it. You're the one taking toys so seriously you can't stop whining about them and attacking the people making them.
Oh no.... I criticized someone’s work... whatever will those poor grown ass adults do about it?
This is a discussion board, I’m discussing how a figure has issues, not “AtTaCkInG” them. Not everything is perfect and I will not act like it is because people act as if no one has a spine. I get shit about my art all the time, do I care? No, I take the criticism and improve.
I ordered a BMB Ironhide about a year ago from an eBay seller that advertised him as new. He came in with a head snapped off at the transformation joint, left arm windshield sheered off from the screw, missing toes, and a backpack that also was snapped off, out of the box. Clearly a used figure, got a complete refund and didn’t have to return him.
Ordered a second BMB Ironhide that actually came in good condition, and left my original KO, with all his broken pieces in the garage for the past year. Something triggered within me recently, and I decided to make use of the broken mold for a fun little project.
Used a hot glue gun, and took off a lot of parts off him. Then I just put him back together and based him off the BA KO that may never come to be, and the CGI Model. He can transform anymore, he’s pretty messy with some glue residue still seen, and he’s still missing two of his toes, but for a figure I got for free that could have ended up rotting away in my garage, all broken up, this was well worth it for me. This little passion project was a whole lot of fun too!
I've gotten most of them, but I totally understand not liking any of them. I personally can accept shoving kibble onto the back, to an extent. Lockdown, VW Bee, Dino/Sideways and this Jolt all take it too far. I'll give them credit for kinda trying to replicate Jolt's transformation, but it just didn't work out.
You don't criticize. Criticism is constructive and helpful. What you do is fill this thread with cynicism and negativity for the sake of it. Baselessly accusing Hastak's designers of being lazy and uncaring is absolutely attacking them, stop being a dishonest weasel and own up to it. Making these things is hard. These designs are impossible to begin with and the designers are tasked with translating them within a limited budget, at a limited size, with a limited parts count. The entire process is compromise after compromise and past a certain point there is literally nothing they can do short of magic and the warping of reality. Rather than accept and understand the reality of the production process, you choose to instead attack the people who are subject to it. That's not criticism, it's just being an unreasonable asshole.
You're entitled to not like every figure and talk about why, you just do it in the most toxic and nonconstructive way possible.
And I would say you do care that people are mean to you about your art, why else would you mention it. Seems like you use the fact people shit on your art as a rationalization to come on here and spread that poison to others.
Dude, that's ALL YOU DO though. You have told me before that "everyone ignores the positive posts" but I'm really struggling to remember you ever saying anything that wasn't aggressively negative and repetitive. I'm sorry but your attitude is unavoidable.
Hey that looks nice! BMB IH is really nice and solid and all but could have had even more improvements for sure. I'm glad you were able to get a working one.
Fine. If I’m some cancerous poison you want to get rid of, so be it.
29 June 2011...
...probably the last time I got hyped for the live action movies. They know how to market these movies back when the momentum was rolling, I remembered the trailers, the discussions and the start of simplication in the toyline but the start of legends (legion) scale Transformers getting really good.
I did remember being really dissapointed how DOTM ended because of how the Cons was treated in the 'last' movie but I did get to re-watch it again from time to time and appreciated what was done right.
Anyway, how about those Sentinel Prime photos?
"Strange, I thought I heard someone was going to do something bad to me this week... "
"Sorry Optimus, no one is here to save you... "
Jetfire : Primes fighting amongst themselves? This takes me back.........
Sentinel : Why do they always appear from the back?
Optimus : You're one to talk...
Thank Primus for the ignore function...
Here some pics i took of mpm barricade that i got last week, meant to upload it on Friday since that was my birthday but i just forgot
DLX Optimus still blows me away every single time I look at him.
