Jolt: I actually really like how he looks. Vehicle mode is splendid. Robot mode looks decent and I actually like this head quite a bit too. Backpack is a little too big but overall looks to be a fun figure hopefully.

Sideswipe: I wasn't very interested in this but now I really wanna get it. Loved the dotm version but it seems like this has some improvements to it. The darker wash looks more premium and its seems to me the torso and head are new pieces? The Corvette looks superb as well

NOW HAPPY 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO TRANSFORMERS DARK OF THE MOON
The movie that made me go back to Transformers full time and the very first movie I ever watched in cinema. Its also my favourite TF movie and love almost everything about it. The characters, action, plot, CGI, and pace were all to my liking. I still get chills watching some of those scenes too. And has the best score in the entire TF universe imo
Here are some shots to celebrate a decade of this amazing movie. I feel old now

OK this is nowhere near the disaster that I was told about. Looks really cool! At least from the front.... haha! But I'm sure the kibble can be arranged better. The details are really nicely done and the paint especially on the torso looks nicely done. The feet are the only parts that stick out to me as lacking. Vehicle mode looks really nice and accurate as well. Great to have a car that's less flashy.

Sideswipe looks nice with a much better paint job but I won't be getting it probably. I like that the first one is a convertible. Makes him feel more unique, and of course it means less kibble.
Yo FACTS! This needs to be quoted even more. I would even say transformers are at least THREE toys in one cause the transformation is a puzzle as well.
No shit! This should be the case for everything in life!
Wow man this is true artistry. So well done. You need a macro lens or something to show off some more of the detail.

Seeing this after the reveal makes me really glad I didn't read this before the reveal

SS Jolt is AMAZING. Hastak have outdone themselves again. Weird fan expetations will never be met at that pricepoint. I expected a cool looking toy with flaws. This is an amazing looking toy that does not seem to have flaws. Even shoulder articulation looks managable. Probably like Dino's shoulder articulation, except that the backpack can be moved out of the way with Jolt

Some people are saying that Sideswipe's head is slightly different to the DOTM SS version. I can't really see a difference apart from the paint applications. What do you think?

Knowing you, you're definitely going to buy him :p

Head looks the same to me they've just approached it differently. The head on DOTM was cast in light gray and the dark parts were painted in. This is cast in dark gray and coated in silver.

The hood is new, no vents. The doors are new to allow the full windows above them. The trunk is a new piece that flows into the canopy. Those are the differences I can see.

This. I collect the occasional Star Wars Black Series figure here and there, but this is why my bread and butter has been Transformers ever since I was introduced to the franchise 13 years ago. You're literally getting two toys in one for the price of one figure. You're getting (occasionally) a licensed vehicle, a cool looking robot, and the ability to switch between the two. The figures are all worth the asking price (an exception for me is Cliffjumper. I just can't bring myself to fork out $20 for a figure that is almost the same size as a $10 figure).

While I'm not saying that fans should be fine with sub-par products or anything, I think people should've tempered expectations when it came to Jolt. The character was hasty thrown together and added into the movie at the last minute. I think the final product looks pretty decent given that fact.

Yaknow I almost wrote something like that in my initial post. Guess I’m predictable! :D  I’ll have to at least see a review first and make sure the backpack isn’t too bad. Or sometimes I’m convinced by seeing something in the actual store.

Jumping on the DotM bandwagon. I think DotM is my favourite of all the movies. The 07 movie brought me into Transformers and collecting. But DotM was my favourite story overall. The visuals were top notch (the whole scene with the bots at Kennedy was beautiful) and once they get to Chicago it's non-stop. I feel like I would have been ok ending here and going to Bumblebee next.

Yeah it is a shame they did not make a movie after DOTM lol..

Seriously trough if you loose the people in it, AOE is a ok-ish story and it had decent bots,

DOTM wasn't just a movie, it was an experience. One that happened once in a lifetime. We must not cry that it's over, but smile that it happened. Happy birthday, DOTM.

Let's also give time to appreciate what a timeless classic the OST was:

    I hope y'all haven't forgotten this...

AOE definitely wasn't the worst, and had some really fun parts. I just feel like it didn't know what it wanted to be, a continuation or it's own story. TLK was the only one I walked out of the theatre and was actually disappointed in it.

It could have worked if they altered the story a bit.. I would have loved another autobot landing searching for Prime and such.. that would have made other actors feel less forced in place. maybe a slight prequel or semi- the same time as DOTM, lets say Hound being stuck for years in altmode after a decepticon attack and Cade finding out he is a Transformer and helps him ... then he could have started a journey to Chicago to find Prime and the others to warn him for the betrayal of say... Sentinel... only to find out it is to late and Sentinel betrayed Prime already (maybe just ariving minutes after the end.. then TLK could focus on Hotrod finding out the knight thingy and maybe that movie could have been less "eppic"(overkil) and actually have a storyline.
