I have 3 SS Optimus (the ss05 I don't use, just got it for the blades), and also getting the rumored premium finish one, so I got 3 heads total for each bot. I had to sand the ball joint all the way to the clear plastic and it is still a tight fit, but it pops off really easy too... Which is a bit odd but I don't think it'll sit well enough to transform either

Yeah, but it can't be helped, I didn't start collecting SS until last year. With the prices of Scrapmetal and Longhaul, this was the only way I was ever going to complete them. The improved paint apps are a nice bonus - though I'm not positive I prefer them on Longhaul. And you're right, they do come already in combined mode in the box. I'm sure I'll start off by combing him, but I'll transform them into their individual vehicles and robots and and display them in those modes at times as well.

I'm glad all of the members gets a vote (I'm lumping Skipjack with Rampage).

Being the first means a lot it seems, I didn't know it performed poorly considering how well liked it is.

Just got a notice that my DNA kit for MPM Ironhide shipped from ShowZ. Really excited to try it out and hopefully breath some new life into that figure. Ironhide is my favourite character from the live action series, but his MPM was really disappointing overall.

I can't believe Nightbird will be a Gtr. I've always wanted to drift to be at GTR but this will be nice if they can get the license for a toy

The praise that game gets is a big part of why I'm even looking at them to begin with, along with how cheap they can be found for now.

A quick question as someone trying to complete my SS Devastator set. I have six of the official SS Constructicons with only Overload and Long Haul being the only ones left to get before completion. Since I can't find their official molds for a good price on Amazon are there any KOs of the two on Amazon that aren't oversized that I can use as alternatives and if so can anyone link me to them? If anyone's able to thanks a million!

I found this a few months ago.

As for Long Haul I know there's a KO but I think it may be oversized. There are a few Long Hauls on eBay for like $60 I think. That's probably the best you'll get

Aoyi Mech makes a 1:1 KO of the SS constructions. They should be compatible.

I put in an order for Devastator with Pulse. He’s already shipped! I also ordered the dna kit from BBTS. I’M surprised that there are still so many on Pulse. Looks like 773 left. Maybe I should have waited for a sale. It could be a long time before they go through all of those at $260.

How can you tell that Pulse has 773 Devastators left?

Use Chrome from a computer. Right click somewhere on the page and choose 'Inspect' then push control and f together and type inventory. This should tell you how much is in stock.

Quick question for the mods. If it gets confirmed that BB & ROTB are in their own universe, will the appreciation of those toys go in this thread or their own thread ?

    Ebay:
Saw this guy going for a pretty good price on eBay last week and so decided to snap him up. And sure enough, he arrived today!

I didn't really expect much from Ratchet, and I can't say I've been wowed by him like I was with Optimus and Bumblebee, but he's a good, solid, chunky toy. Feels a bit more like a Unicron Trilogy toy than a lot of the other main cast figures do. Also his roof rack turns into that weird claw thing for robot mode which I completely forgot about. Definitely an, um... Interesting choice for sure

It's amazing how in the span of fourteen years, Ratchet's transformation has remained pretty much the exact same. I mean, I suppose he has only had four mainline molds before the Masterpiece showed up. Like, 07 Ratchet's transformation is pretty much the exact same, the MPM just has some more added steps. Everything ends up in roughly the same place in both modes. If it ain't broke, I guess?

    *Sigh*

Am I gonna complete the 2007 Autobot team again? I mean, I guess. I've only got Ironhide and Jazz left to go

PS - I've updated my sales thread from a while back, and I've added some SS, 3P MPM, and TLK figures to the pile for anyone interested!

I recently bought the "Gundam marker" pens, and I thought I had found a useful object for the personalization of my TF figures... then I read your article and started having doubts! I bought the Gundam markers with metallic paint, based on your experience, can I use them without any problems or risk of damaging the plastic of my TF studio series? Let me know!

Tied between Overload and Scrapper right now, but since I don’t own Overload, I’ve gotta go with Scrapper.

Here here! I would definitely want that. Since we never got an accurate TLK Barricade (and won’t for the next few years, according to leaks) I would love for them to take the TLK Design, give him an era-accurate cool alt mode (similar to Dropkick’s), add some era-accurate kibble and slap him in a Studio Series box. I would love that.
