Here's my hopes, fears and theories for the upcoming movie's toys. I'm putting it here, rather than in the SS speculation thread, as Wreckgar mentioned this film is likely to get it's own toy line.

My biggest hope: Simply that we get Deluxe, Voyager and Leader figures for all the Transformer designs in this film, within the next two years and that all the toys are in the appropriate price point for their on-screen size.

My craziest theory: Apollux mentioned that we'll be seeing some weird stuff. With the new information on Beast characters looking partially organic and with Rhinox working on how to disguise the Maximals, I'm wondering if we could see toys that are based on the robotic animals, but also come with separate organic-looking coverings that can be attached to them, to convert them into realistic animals. This could potentially be a way to prepare today's children for a return of Pretenders in Generations.

My biggest fear: That next year will only see a small handful of Deluxe/Voyager/Leader figures for this film getting made, with the main focus being on toddler-aimed toys. What few beast characters get decent toys will only get toys based on their organic looks, in order to keep things as traditional and non-challenging as possible. Everything else will slowly be sprinkled into Studio Series, over the next several years.

The painting of the BMB starscream is gorgeous! Too beautiful! I am sad that hasbro has ability to make the same paint job but it doesn’t. It is a strong evidence that hasbro has no heart on making toys. With such wonderful painting the starscream can finally be called masterpiece!

The toe joint is stiff so that it can stand with his foot sole not touching the ground, like he does in the movie.
With the foot sole leaving the ground, the mpm starscream can reach 28cm tall! It seems not too small to put it beside the KO oversized ROTF Megatron.
Again, in the movie starscream is smaller than we thought.

Oh yes, because with Barricade's appearance it will A) continue the tradition of him appearing in odd numbered live action movies, B) would mean he gets another cool toy and C) make it more vague whether or not this is a reboot or still tied to the old universe which will cause the fandom to constantly debate about it.

I really like SS Devastator but I can only recommend getting him if you really like what you see because he is compromised for what he is. The Constructicons are good for recreating scenes from ROTF and beyond as well as fun display to appreciate their unique robot modes but half of them have poor vehicle modes due to their combination.

And I don't have the upgrade kit to comment on that.

I’m perfectly ok with the Bay movies being done I do wish we got a 6th to wrap it all up but the memories of movies 1-5 will remain and it’s time to create new ones with this new movie universe. It seems the Bay influence may even live on with Bumblebee being an off road Camaro and Scourge sounds like he’s influenced by the Bay movies

Also I got a Movie 1 Swindle the other day

Personally my biggest fear is the new designs will be pushed and will be inaccurate to their on screen appearance that and with the BB Cybertron designs happening I’m afraid it will push the Bay figures even further back I’m excited for the new movie but I still really want Bay figures

You don't need to fear that Bayformers might be pushed back, as that's not a possibility. It's a certainty. Anger is what's called for, in that regard.

The movie news is definitely interesting!
When I first heard "Scourge" and the whole beast thing the first thing to come to mind was the Cybertron design. I hope the final design is cool and gets a great toy!

They're all so fun in their own way.... If you put a gun to my head, I'll say Hightower just because of how much I like his unique design.

Gotta love those old-school CG renders haha

I think the Constructicons are a great set, the toys manage to capture their quirks and they make for a really cool display. Devastator himself is compromised but he's still a good size and I think the combining is executed well considering this thing was developed and released over 2 years. It's one of the most ambitious projects Hastak has done, definitely.

Personally, I feel complete apathy with the movie (which can be argued is worse than hate.) Though that's moreso because of the current state of mediocre to bad cartoons, movies (except BB 2018 lol), video games, and heavy G1 push since 2015 rather than the movie details we got. Don't worry, I won't make a stink about it because I let people enjoy the things they like lol. I hope it's good and the designs are unique and inspired, but we shall see

Yeah if any of them call for an OSKO it'd be him! I wouldn't even care if he didn't combine with anything, since he's a whole set piece by himself.
Eh screw them. All the director's said about anything is "we're making Optimus more G1" over and over.
Skipjack bought! Thanks for the heads-up! My custom Rampage can finally have a life of his own.
RotF is easily the best movieverse game, with it being the second best overall Transformers game after FoC. IMO, of course.
Being completely honest, I feel you missed the boat on the most fun part of the set, which was collecting each individual constructicon one by one. That way was more fun to build the anticipation of the combiner, and allowed me to appreciate each member on their own instead of them immediately being combined up, which is clearly what the set wants you to do since I believe they're all packaged in their limb modes.
What evidence do you have of this? Why do people automatically assume that hasbro just doesn't want to give us cool things cause they're hateful or something? KOs are zero evidence about hasbro's anything. They are painting up something that already exists. I do that all the time with my figures and I don't think to myself "man hasbro could be doing all this but they're just too shitty to care".
Yes this is easily my biggest worry because it's happened for literally every single Transformers movie even the 86 movie.

Got some custom SS Optimus heads from dino_model_shop on instagram, looks amazing, apparently supposed to remove when transforming (but I haven't tried yet). Didn't fit at first, so had to sand down the ball joint, which sacrifices the original head from fitting tightly (but I also don't think I'll ever use the original head again anyways)

I feel like this movie will be a slight retread of the Kingdom storyline with Autobots and Maximals working together. Hasbro’s been a fan of using the same storylines with a different coat of paint lately

Funny how the 86 movie is the worst performing Transformers movie to date but it gets a lot of attention.

AoE Dinobots: Are we a joke to you?

I actually didn’t take this photo, my friend did, but I wanted to share cause I thought she did an awesome job (and cause it’s my figure)!

    Thanks!
Looks amazing! I ordered the jetpower masked head from him. Should be here soon, but you’re making a very strong case for me getting the regular unmasked head too. It looks like it should fit inside the chest cavity with some minor modifications. Let me know how it goes with yours and if you can get it to fit for transformation.
