Jolt looks good as well as Sideswipe.

Evidently Michael Bay wanted to hire him for RotF and Nimoy wanted a role in Transformers again but neither asked the other for the opportunity, so it was pretty amazing that not only did they work it out this time, Sentinel Prime ended up being one of the most memorable characters in the films.

Seriously though, 5mm ports that actually filled themselves in when you take the guns out was wild. They even painted the little plugs on Roadbuster so his 88 decals didn't have holes in them. Sure as hell ain't getting that anymore...

They cast Swipe in much darker colors than the DOTM version so the painted silver really pops.

 

Some, they've been able to get decent bots from, but some, like aaall the Wreckers, even though Leadfoot is better than the other 2, Jolt, B127/ Cliff, and Lockdown all have ridiculous kibble on them.

I just have to ask... what the hell happened to the headlights???  

 

Yes I love it. The kibble is accurate, and the “wings” can be folded down. I don’t display my figures from the back

 

I think it's purely how the toy is constructed.

Based on how Swipe transforms, including the headlights would have meant that those clear bits would have been hanging off his toes or his heels and wouldn't be able to fit around his wheel feet in robot mode.

 

Jetwing is still my favorite movie Optimus Prime figure. Happy 10th anniversary DOTM!

 

They probably forgot they existed.

Jolt's pretty exciting, since this is the first toy that's based on his on-screen appearance, which itself is damn near impossible to make heads or tails of. Don't care for the whips, although it's kinda hilarious you replace one of his fingers with them.

 

Sideswipe and Jolt both look gorgeous!

I must say, as fans, we're so much more grateful for reveals and leaks after a difficult year for SS.

 

Nah. All they had to do was mold them in, just like they did on the arms. They didn't even have to paint them in. That was just pure laziness.

That said, he still looks great, and I've been looking forward to getting him, so he's a must buy for me!!

Fair point. My mind went instantly to the ROTF toy and doing the headlights in clear plastic but you're absolutely right that they could have molded them in. I think octobotimus might be right that they legitimately just forgot they existed. In a way though I think the car mode actually looks sleaker and more elegant without them.

Regardless, Sideswipe looks amazing and I'm definitely going to be picking up at least 2 copies.

 

Wouldn't that be some shit, if they really just forgot abt the lights lmfao. Funny though I made a joke on Insta abt him being more aerodynamic.

Jolt looks great! I was really worried the other day with what was said about him, but he looks like a lot of fun, like the type of figure that you can pose the kibble how you like best.

Swipe looks good too, the silver really pops!

EDIT: Just noticed Swipe does have a much larger backpack. You can see the hinge hanging down between his legs.
