I like it but maybe not for full retail. My money will be on Galvatron for now.

I agree!! He's just an improved SS38. That said, if BMB takes it, and improves it, I'll get it.

But that would require better paint, improved arms, weapon integration into the alt mode (negotiable) and an improved back. His back is too squared off, like SS38.
If you mean Hasbro, this is their own design. You can tell just bcs, like I said above, he's just an upscaled and improved SS38.

I feel MPM-12 was so close to getting it just right, it misses in the mark in just a few spots, all of which PVP mentions. The head looks a little squashed at the sides, the back of the truck is a bit rough looking, but the "cat ears" on the truck cab is definitely the most annoying thing. Surely it would've been simple enough to put in a hinge so they could fold in somewhere and hide away. Seems like such a weird oversight for what's supposed to be a premium collectable line

I think the simpler transformation definitely benefits the design though. Some of the 3P options massively over-complicate it to their detrement, but this works out pretty nicely. I like the shade of red too, though I wish the blue was a bit darker

I'm probably gonna pass on this guy, sine I've got the ThreeZero one which is pretty fantastic in it's own right. But maybe if this guy ends up heavily discounted like the last two MPMs I might pick him up to check him out

Jesus, that looks beautiful. The fact that it transforms too is insane. Not sure if I want to bite the bullet on this one or not though, as I've been thinking recently about reducing my MPMs to just original trilogy characters, but I'm looking forward to reviews of him when they start coming out!

Jeez, so since i am trying to collect MPM and 3p kos now, im screwed. Im here trying to play catch up but i surely dont want to get caught up with all these preorders. Looking at DOTM starscream, UT Glavatron, Knight Prime right now as preorders.

So far id love to get my hands on KO OS Brawl and that awesome Steelclaw. If anyone can chime in on how they are please lmk.

And now we have to spend more just to buy a upgrade kit to get rid of the kitty ears.
I hope maybe legendary toys will fix this like what they did with the mpm bayverse optimus prime.
Black mamba is great but it's oversized. I prefer original mp scale

I've accepted the fact that we'll never get a proper Crankcase so I decided to just pretend this is a strike squad.

Just pace yourself honestly. Even it comes to trilogy Prime, I'd obviously recommend BA Prime, but he'd almost impossible to get nowadays, so I'd recommend LT02 if you wanna stay within MPM scale. But if you wanna go a bit bigger, then your only options are gonna be Blue Circus Prime, which will need a full repaint cause his paint job is hideous, or BMB Prime.

As far as Knight Prime, I'd wait for the inevitable better painted, maaaby upscaled, and maaaybe improved KO. So there's no rush into getting what you want.

After BMB made their KO Ratchet, I've completely given up on giving Hastak $$ for inferior products.
BMB hasn't made an OSKO since Ironhide. Their KO Ratchet has better paint and improved siren lights hinges, but that's really it. That said, I do prefer the BA Prime scale when it comes to my Primes, as the MPM scale Primes are too small.
    LT is separate from WJ.

8C67158D-DE6D-49C9-8045-9B17A65CB25E.jpeg Today’s haul. I know GDO Springer technically isn’t a movie figure but he’s based on HFTD Tomahawk so he technically has the movie aesthetic and I plan on doing a custom on him to make him more in line with my movie bots, found a movie 1 Salvage for a good price online unsure if I’ll open him as I have RoTF Blowpipe and I really like his colors so I may let this one gain some value and sell it later, and finally movie 1 Longarm a figure I’ve always wanted but could never find as a kid

I've bought every MPM I have before venturing into the KO version. This might be the first one I wait on. There are too many things that just look "meh" to justify the retail price. I can't for the life of me see why they couldn't have folded the cat ears down. And the back of the cab and the back of the truck being so hollow is just bad. The robot mode details look great, and it's a good headsculpt, but it's not enough I'm afraid.

Honestly, I think that this all stems from us just putting up with down sizing of the toys, and mediocre paint jobs.

I said this a very long time ago, and some disagreed with me, but I'll say it again. We keep putting up with Hastak downsizing the toys, charging more, as well as releasing half painted MPMs, and charging premium prices for them!!

Some may say well sure, the toys are smaller, but the sculpting details are more accurate, and the transformations are more intuitive. While I do say to each their own, paying $20-$25 for an almost 6 inch toy is a bit much.. specially in the case of Jazz and Bee, who are even smaller.

Some also say that plastic's more expensive now.. but that just means that you charge the more for the same amount of plastic.. not charge more aaand shrink the product. That's just greed.

So Hastak keeps pushing the line, and we keep taking it... you really think they wont do the same to the MPM line??

That's it.. I'm done.. rant over lol.

It's frustrating too, because we just went from, IMO, two really good MPMs in Starscream and Ratchet, to this. It's like they put all their energy into those and were just like "well, we've got to put SOMETHING out."

I would honestly rather them do one a year and make it great.
