Yes and no? Like, just looking at the Studio Series and other, similar mainline releases. I've got SS32 and SS34 Optimus, but I'm also counting MTB01 Evasion Optimus and TLK voyager Optimus. Then I've got the three SS Megatrons, TLK Megatron, and Movie Advanced Galvatron, and so on it goes. So not really any duplicates bar the one case with Optimus

I do have way more Optimi from various other lines though. I'm a sucker for a good Optimus toy. I think I have about seventeen or so? He's got his own shelf and all  

 

Heh, I was going to totally absolutely only get Blackout, because he was the only one who's old figure didn't hold up.

Then I decided that Starscream without tattoos was such a novelty I couldn't pass him by. And oh, hey, a better version of Jetfire and DotM Megatron, two of my favorite designs. Y'know, Deluxe Ratchet has always been on my radar, maybe this is the one I get? Hey, Bonecrusher's on sale! Might as well grab a Brawl that's still shelf-warming...


Ironically, Blackout was what got me into collecting back in '07. Should've figured this'd happen.

This makes me miss the original Movie two-packs with the fish tank packaging. I doubt we’ll get anything as nice with the Buzzworthy re-issues.

 

Maybe the VS pack will be a nice return. I kinda doubt it but I’d love to see it. Maybe it’s SS27 & SS28 VS each other and it’s packaged like some the old VS packs. It’s probably just me daydreaming but it’d be pretty cool

Oh snap I'm totally gonna try that! Thanks for the tip. Removing pins is scary to me but I'll try it in this case.

I've found that the only thing that's frustrating about the new setup is the thigh pieces being a bit too big and the shoulder pads hindering articulation a bit. Not much to do about the shoulder pads cause they look way more accurate and proportional, but I might shave some material off the thigh pieces. They clash with the thigh wheels a bit too much.

Aah, ok. It was the same for me, but I sold everything that wasn't SS.

I sold most of them though.

The pins on mine were super easy to push out. I barely applied any force.

For me, the shoulder pieces are the biggest hindrance, but I still think that Prime's pretty fun with it.

Ok, New Age Soundwave is awesome looking, but those legs are a fucking nightmare to transform.

 

I've heard! Completely fine with it since some of my original complaints of Dragoon was that he was a bit too tall. Hope this KO scales well with the future TMT Prime tho

Wow that's one fucking ugly Barricade! I'm so glad SS Barry exists now to replace him.

 

The KO Dragoon is a couple CENTIMETERS shorter   And I switched the chest pieces and I'm so much happier. Thanks again for the tip! I had to use pliers to get the pins out the last little bit of the way but it wasn't too hard. I also shaved off about a cm of material from the backs of the thigh pieces and I'm quite happy with that decision. Not sure what to do about the shoulder pieces. Might just have to take the L on that particular issue and find ways around it.

Wow... I didn't know Optimus was a bad driver.

 

Could be, or I may have just done something wrong. I bought him for the robot mode so it's OK. I'll give the transformation another shot another day and try to see what went wrong.

 

Just heard we won’t be getting new figures till way down the road. Ouch.
