Really? I much prefer SS Ratchet. What do you prefer about the DOTM version?
I would love a figure of this design. Blazemaster is actually kinda close, but I'm really not a fan of that figure.
I'd totally be on board for including transforming versions of vehicles we see on screen in Studio Series. An Osprey would be awesome, especially considering how frequently they appear in the movies and Starscream's interactions with them in DOTM.
F-35s even appear in TLK, which would be a cool way to sneak in Breakaway.
As far as the backpack goes at least I think it's a downgrade. Also I think shrinking him us a bit weak too
The SS backpack is much more compressed than the DotM deluxe though.
The backpacks of both are kinda weird. DOTM's is really bulky and sticks out the back a ways, while the SS has the roof rack that shoots way out. It's super easy to mod the SS version to make the backpack fold up great, but I'll admit you really shouldn't have to do that (That's the only reason I didn't put SS Ratchet in top tier when we did the tier lists a while back).
The size between the two is also weird: SS is smaller in vehicle mode but bigger in robot mode.
"Sam, get to the building!"
Got the upgrade head for MPM4 as well. I think it has LEDs too just haven’t found the button yet. What a difference!
I really hate that roof rack sometimes. I wish they would've just made it a weapon like the voyager toy.
Honestly I know its a tired thing to say but I really wish Ratchet would've just been a voyager class figure from the beginning. Then may they could've done him better.
I would highly advise the roof rack mod if its bothering you, all you need are nail clippers and glue. I can provide pics showing how to do it if you want.
Eh I don't really like modding my figures like that tbh. Honestly I'll just keep dealing with it, especially since I plan on getting MPM Ratchet.
I keep forgetting that I modded the roof racks on both of mine, which took less than 5 min each.
dino is love, dino is life
Afterwards Optimus started a band:
I’m not sure this is a very fair comparison. One is a $30 figure and the other is over $200. Said $30 figure is aimed, not only at collectors, but kids and teenagers. The $200+ figure is made with collectors in mind. It’s also worth pointing out one figure has to transform from a complex looking robot and compact into a truck. The other figure is just a human.
If you want a HT level Bayformer, it seems Unique Toys is, at the moment, your best bet.
Nah, he isn't. This thread is only for live action transformers movie toys.
I got my first one for $124, which was lost in the mail so ShowZ sent me a replacement.
Well, the first one ended up showing up after the second one did, and I offered ShowZ $60 for it, since it would've cost them $70 to ship it back to China, and they agreed.
I traded one for MP32, and now I wish I would've held on to it, bcs from what I hear, he's now selling for over $600.
Don’t have Rampage, but my Skipjack also has issues with the top of the treads “sticking” when trying to go to/from leg mode (not as bad as yours, it just requires a bit of fiddling before it’ll rotate)
Mine does too.
