Finally after a weekend of hunting!
How'd you do the face like that?
If anyone wants to come up with custom blast effects for Blitzwing, his pew pew has a 2mm port. Alternatively, a 2mm to 3mm adapter would be useful for existing blast effects. Tempted to make one later as I have 2mm rods and 3mm tubing with 2mm inner diameter.
A hollow effect could potentially work to go around the nozzle but need to be careful and not scuff up the paint. I used a cyberverse effect earlier, which sorta works since it can stretch. The nozzle is a bit over 5mm. A rigid effect with a 5mm hole will not fit and scratch paint.
Well, there's the upcoming box set for that.
Scored! Left Soundwave on the shelf.
The Scavenger SS Leader class figure is spectacular! Its size is remarkable, it is already nice to see it through the box that barely contains it... then when you handle it, you realize the considerable number of joints it is equipped with, that despite its "bizarre shape", they give it the possibility of assuming various dynamic positions (which in my opinion are its strong point)... in particular, the joints of the two pins of the lower wheel are interesting, which allows the latter to rotate a few degrees laterally, making the dynamic positions, like those of the CGI in the film, even more realistic! I must say that the old Voyager ROTF does not lose much in aesthetics compared to the Leader SS... except for the structure of the wheels, made in an elementary way and aesthetically ugly... in addition to the coloring of the arms completely gray (even if the detail of the rotating gear inside the arms remains interesting)! In fact, he too is equipped with a cosiderable number of joints, which allow a various number of dynamic positions (and I must say that together in this way, they are really not bad)! Let's say that good old Voyager ROTF, even if imperfect, has its own why... but with the SS Leader now, we finally have a proper Scavenger! Let's just hope Hasbro makes up his mind as soon as possible to make a Demolishor redeco, because the film's "CGI destructive fury" is a model that deserves a special place in our collections!
blackwash if you meant the normal head , just unscrew and fit if you meant the thundercracker head
yeah I was pleasantly surprised but then again, the onscreen seekers did have a g1ish head with this body too .
sure, sure but it’s pretty
So what's the verdict on Leadfoot? Worth getting if you already wasted a fortune on the original?
I can't compare it to the original cuz I never owned it, but IMO I think it's definitely worth the price!
The chest doors could probably tab in better, and the weapons could be a bit more snug on my copy. Beyond that, no complaints!
as someone that's owned neither, i'd say the old one looks like a better toy but studio series fits in with, well, the rest of studio series, plus it might be cathartic to get a leadfoot for retail finally
It's only $20, and he's got a lot of character. Robot mode is much more accurate than the DOTM mold. Vehicle mode is beautiful but needs Reprolabels ASAP. One might display the SS in robot mode and the DOTM in vehicle.
Guess who was impatient and bought a 50 dollar Leadfoot
50? A little steep don’t you think? Lol
"What you're about to see here is totally classified!"
Tried to create sense of scale with this one, not sure it worked as well as I wanted. Ah well. As for this figure, it's one that I put down for a while, but when I pick it up later, I fall in love all over again. My favourite design is definitely Megatron's DOTM look, but this is definitely the best representation we've gotten for the character in the Studio Series line
Leadfoot is awesome!! And so is the Speed Stars version that I also got from my seller!
ALL THESE LEADFOOTS AND BLITZWINGS AAAARGH I NEED THEM NAO!
Just stuck with my challenger for now:
You’re a bumble.
Put him near an edge so you can get the camera really low down, but don’t get the edge in frame. That’s the best way to show scale from a low angle.
So I went to my local target today to see if they had overload. Unfortunately they didn't but they did had skipjack and I looked to see the differences and hasbro actually fixed the missassembly issue with the waist piece. Didn't take a picture since I didn't think I was going to be making this post.
You're talking to the same idiot who bought Rampage for 60 lmao
Plus my nearest Target is 2 hours away so my chances of finding him are slim
That's better than the $165 I paid for the original.
4500x, something's not right....
Blackout has such a beautiful alt mode.
