If the Protoforms were Deluxe Class, then Hasbro could make a Voyager Class with them and an OAC that splits into a Bayverse weapon set such as rocket boosters and cannons. Alternatively, a Voyager Protoform and a Leader set would also be possible.

A bit of advice if you have the cash: buy one again. Now. UT is going underground right after they fulfill the Galvatron preorders so this stuff is gonna get way harder to find soon! If you get it and end up with any buyer's remorse you can always sell or trade. People will want it.

Blackout's hands were a universal gripe and an obvious oversight. The Devastator kit is much more complex and every single person has a different thing they want included or changed so it's much less obvious to them what would need to be adjusted. My money is on this set staying the same.

You're getting antsy again dude. We've seen plenty of SS reveals this year, they're just not given a lot of attention from hasbro. There's a lot of fanfare around earthrise releases but SS just tends to leak online with grainy photos. Every year G1 takes the spotlight over SS then it goes back to SS/MPM in the fall and towards the end of the year when the next year's stuff is revealed.

I think you mean solid plastic windows, cause if they were painted windows they'd just be clear underneath and not only would you have to worry about breakage but you'd also have to worry about paint chipping and scratching!

I think another major source of the I think another major source of the gripes is the leader class version, which is actually mpm 1 Starscream, had a much cleaner jet mode while also being nearly as accurate and impressive in robot mode, over 10 years ago. Kind of like how mpm Optimus really isn't all that impressive juxtaposed with the Revenge of the Fallen leader from over 10 years ago

I honestly did reconsider buying him, but there's just too much of him that I dislike. And buying him just to have him as a possible trade piece isn't worth it, and while I think that he'll resell, I don't think that I'll really get my money's worth.

 

Might just keep Mixmaster like this whenever he's in bot mode. I already have a top heavy bot in Overload, so Mixy's gotta be something else. Hand walker is good

So, I’m not sure if I’m alone in this, but after finally getting the last bot for Devastator in last week, I’m feeling less than satisfied with how the combination has looked.

In pictures, everyone makes it look desirable and awesome. In reality, I see these huge hands, tiny head, and annoying shoulders that just slip and droop.

I waited to transform each piece in combination mode until I got them all in, save for a couple as my son wanted to see how it would look, but I’m disappointed altogether. I had higher hopes.

 

Didn't help that the instructions are horrible too. The US instructions leave out the proper Mixmaster connection method as well.

If you want the shoulders to be more stable, use Scavenger's wheel struts to push on the backpack wheel:

You're definitely not alone!! I actually took pictures of mine to put him on up eBay, created the listing, but then held back at the last min because I wanted to see what DNA Design was going to make for him.

While I am looking forward to the kit, I may still sell him after I get the kit.

Hu..I didn't know this red pieces stabilized the shoulders. I'm gonna have to try that. Thanks for sharing this info!!
