Haha thanks. I don't play the game (it's in Japanese only and seems like a hassle to access) but I love the designs. Aside from Saratoga I only have Ooi but I hope to get more.

As for thread related stuff, I got to play around with Scrapper. Fun robot mode even though the legs are somewhat limited. I love the transformation, although the construction vehicle mode is weak it rolls well and has a jointed scoop so it's still a fun toy.

 

Scrapper's excellent CROTCH articulation helps to make up for the legs. His codpiece is also adjustable.

So Stealth Bumble is "done," but I'm gonna wait a week before doing the stripes. (or even transforming him) I had a bad experience painting RID Drift putting masking tape on paint too soon and having to start over, so I'm gonna let the paint really cure beyond just fingerprint safe. But, I want some more input: How should I color the cannon bore and Chevrolet emblems? I know Bumble's plasma cannon canonically glows orange, but I think I wanna homage the original Allspark Power version with Allspark blue, and I dunno if I wanna make the Chevy logo standard gold either, maybe blue too, but then that isn't very stealthy...

I say this whenever anyone asks "where is the effing _____!?" no matter how ridiculous eating the thing would be.

If you’re going for an allspark-powered look blue in the cannon barrel could be cool (and it does glow blue at one point in the 07 movie IIRC).

For the Chevy logo, the ROTF Camaro has it black with a red outline, that could suit the stealth look pretty well. Excited to see more of this Bee!

 

I do the exact same thing! Probably the most ridiculous thing I made that joke about was a Nintendo Switch or a Toilet seat. (Still in the package obviously.)

 

It's...just about right, actually. Optimus, trailer and all, is ridiculously light. The box probably weighs as much as he does. My shipment of him from BBTS was like two pounds, and included another item. I'd say it's roughly legit. Plus, UPS doesn't always go for exact weights. They tend to round up or down. It's an exact figure they're showing, however, so I'd remain cautiously optimistic.

 

Thanks for the reply. Found out an extra detail that lowers my optimism. I ordered a SS Blackout a few days later from Ebay also and it turns out they are both at the same stop and I think that is the one showing shipped through UPS with the weight. Oh well, I'll know for sure soon.

I got this strange feeling in my gut that I shouldn't have cancelled my order on BBTS for Overload.

 

Would've loved to see a scout sized ratchet and then I'd just legends carbots and boom a whole nother scale of autobots just for HFTD scale

 

I'm thinking of making a full Stealth Mode team of black Autobot repaints to go with my Stealth Bumble. For sure I want one of them to be the rumored/leaked SS ROTF Sideswipe (or just the DOTM one if the ROTF one sucks) in his Human Alliance Shadow Blade colors:



...but who else would work for a black repaint stealth team? Tactically, the Arcee trio would be perfect and logical, but they'd probably look like a mess if they're all black on an all-black team. The Twins would look good, but I don't really like them, nor could I imagine them being stealthy - plus they don't even have SS toys. I don't think Ratchet could look good in black and green, and Ironhide wouldn't be part of the team at all because the video games have well-established that "stealth" and "Ironhide" don't belong in the same sentence. Who would you guys suggest? I'm game for toy-only characters from the past lines too.

 

If they ever do, you could make them into their DotM versions!

 

My DOTM cons (Long Haul, Scrapper and Brawl are the clones). Need to track down Crowbar and hopefully they make an SS Hatchet.
