Thanks Maz, at the time they were nigh impossible to find. I wasn't even toy hunting (well not officially, lol) l just joined my girl for some shopping and l stumbled onto that nice little hive of them. Never saw Mudflap before or since at retail. Only found 1 HA Barricade at retail as well, a TJ Maxx l think. I passed that onto someone who would appreciate it more than l would.

That's what you call community spirit, love it. I have lost count of the number of times collectors have helped me replace something at no cost to me when it's broken or gotten lost. Even pointing someone in the direction of an auction, or picking up something for them locally, it's a really good aspect of the fandom.

I think if I were to get HA Mudflap again, I'd pop onto Yahoo auctions in japan and try and snag a Takara version MISB, just seems better value and with a little bit of a twist to know I have a different release :)

Always wanted a Takara Jazz too.

    All the best

Man, I regret not picking up the HA Skids and Mudflap when they were available. I had initially vowed to get all the Human Alliance figures but they were a bit on the pricey side so I always waited for sales. I guess I waited too long and before I knew it they were both gone. Haha. I know they were released again when DOTM came out but they either weren't as readily available or I just wasn't a huge fan of their new paint schemes.

    Well played, gentlemen.

I have, actually. No one seems to have that particular version of him right now, unfortunately.

Ughhh. This brings back painful memories of the time I saw 4 or 5 of him for $25 a pop in a shop in NYC, well after he had disappeared. Didn't buy them because I was afraid they were KO's (it was in Chinatown). If only I'd known at the time that there are no KO's of him...

Actually, on that note, why aren't there? They'd make a killing on them.

I yearn for the days when Leader class figures still had glowing nipples :p

Though I sold mine (and the buyer even claimed to have never received it and got a refund e_e), I remember this figure was very durable. It stood up to my childhood war sessions, and was one of the few figures still fully complete and operational. Only real complaint was the execution of head articulation. More often than not my Megatron winded up headless

Heres just a few of my figures (in full, im ONLY missing Leaders Brawl, & Jetfire. Voyagers Mixmaster, Longhaul, & Scavenger. Deluxes Rampage, & Wrecker, + HA Leadfoot. I have the rest of the movie line up til wave 1 TLK.. The Unite Warriors Airealbots box there was balancing on a skinny beam so i couldnt pose them really & there's no room anyway there's no tables or chairs just boxes underneath the ground to prevent fires from the outside getting down in. ;)

I've probably posted these guys before here somewhere, but the Wreckers set above left me wanting to post these guys again. They're both custom painted, but Leadfoot (or Targetbot as i often call him) is one of my 2-3 most intensive customs I've done. He has a gallery somewhere in the radicons from when I did him years ago.

Nice! Too bad they never made HA Topspin to complete the trio.

How'd you get that chest configuration on HA Leadfoot?

The only hard part is getting the U panel down around his neck. Everything else is just an easily copied fan transformation. The U can be forced down. It was a popular mod at the time and some people did just force it. I was never comfortable forcing it, so I dremeled out the ridge that made it hard to bring it down. You could also shave it out with a hobby knife, some patience and some care (not to cut yourself) I'm sure.

    Does that help?
