Apparently this is the following that is summed up courtesy of an mp3 interview that he had recently. http://mediap1.roadkast.com/moviefea...lex-Litvak.mp3 no he-man only adam no cringer(there will be battlecat however) no transformation no skull on skeletor?!?(he said Skeletor isn't about some guy with a skull, but never said he wouldn't have a skull head/face in the movie) "skeletor" will only use magic heroes will only use tech no muscles on he-man(I mean there will be,but he won't be super muscular,he used Robert Downey.Jr and Adrian Brody as examples) there will be no earth in the movie He also said that Teela,Tri-Clops,and Man-At-Arms are in it,and that it's one of Sony's top priorities And that the movie will be called Masters Of The Universe, the movie talk starts near the end of the interview.
Whoah... I hope they just leave his ideas as is. I don't want so see that movie. Really. If they would realise it this way, than the Dolph Lundgren movie will still be the best. And I really was hoping for a fantasy movie that's like Conan the Barbarian with some Sci-Fi elements, and that is more like what we would expect of a Masters of the Universe movie. I mean, what do they think, if they take a well known franchise and make a movie that is completely different. There was never a case where people were happy with such a thing and the Studios always wonder why... are they serious? OK, till now it is only ideas. Hope they stay just ideas...
Those aren't horrible ideas... if they completely divorced it from MOTU and made it their own thing. I wish they hadn't ditched the Justin Marks treatment from two years ago, that sounded like it had potential. But honestly, if they just got Weta Workshop to bring Eternia to life faithfully, that would take care of half of the movie already.
Fail Im sorry its a travesty in my opinion and will be as epic a fail as the first Masters of the Universe. Can't Hollywood make a movie of a TV series and not have to change basic stuff? you think they would have learned it in this case from the first try at a movie version! I wonder if he has ever seen the original masters of the universe movie? not that i could blame if he hasn't but his ideas fail as much as that movie.
Hollywood changes things for the sake of changing things. With CGI the budget excuses are running thin these days. They hire writers with no concept of what they are writing and they just take Plot A from any other movie and insert Characters from Show B. Doesn't matter if it makes no sense, they have a prewritten script that is killer, and licensed characters will add to it. Who cares if it has nothing to do with the source material and that a movie using the source material could easily be made, people are sheep and will see any crappy movie with a name product. Besides they can write better than that old television show or cartoon and the old concept was stupid anyway. What was it about again?
No Skull mask for Skeletor, this just end up like the G.I.Joe movie with Cobra Commander wearing a Hemelt.
Here's the ideas he pitched for the next Star Trek film: -instead of outer space, it's set on Lake Michigan early 1900's -No captain Kirk, Picard or any captains - just an old man in a boat with a fishing pole -Instead of photon torpedos the man spits out cherry pits -Battlecat will make an appearance -Vulcans look like humans because they're "not just about some guys with pointy ears"
This sounds like a giant SUCKFEST in the making. Terrible. Dammit. A He-Man without muscles?? I don't know who Litvak is, but he should take his "ideas" and shove them straight up his ass, back where they came from. The treatment from awhile back was great.
Great now we'll get a movie where He-Man and Skeletor are lovers and while fighting over the sword of power, He-Man will shout "I WONT QUIT YOU!" Edit lol Sword of power!
Dosn't sound like theres a sword of power. And BattleCat is going to be the name of adam's tricked out black van.
Someone told me that in the old comics, that there was no Cringer, only Battlecat. So since I heard that,I'm 100% okay with Battlecat being in the movie.
Filmation created Prince Adam, and Cringer. The comic origin of He-man is that he's just some tough-ass Conan rip-off that is given the axe, shield, armour, and the title of He-man by "the goddess."
A MOTU movie without He-Man? That's like a Transformers movie without Optimus Prime. Mattel's made some bonehead decisions in the past, but even they wouldn't let that fly.
Pretty much the only bit of that I liked the sound of was "no Earth in the movie". Just about everything else sounds absolutely awful.
