Netflix sends out disks? I though Redbox did that.

 

Yep. I'm still using an older plan as I don't stream.

 

I had forgotten that Netflix even did that; I tried their service (mailing the discs) a few times and wasn't a fan. Still, with Blockbuster gone, that seems to be best bet without streaming.

 

Ah ok, I stream so I didn't know they did the disk system.

 

When someone sends you back to the store and you were just there fifteen minutes earler.

 

"Where is such item in the store?" asks Customer.

I point to the sign above the next aisle specifically listing that item among said isle's contents. "On the next isle there, sir."

Sigh.

 

The way dogs don't understand leashes.

This happened to me when I borrowed The Hobbit (the live action one). The exact moment Smaug opens his mouth to talk.... SKIPPING PAST DAMAGED AREA. Which inexplicably cuts to an abysmally filmed (like 80s home video abysmal) "truth" ad about vomit soda or something (???).

Thankfully, I was able to play the next scene and carefully rewind back to where Smaug speaks and continue on from there.

 

When customers ask if we are still open. If we were close, then why would I be here?

 

  Not trying to be mean, but you guys sound like cream puffs if those questions annoy you.

In retail and the food industry, people often stay a few hours later than the closing time because there's a ton of after hours stuff to do?

 

Hey, when you've gotten into a groove fixing your assigned shelves and you are suddenly knocked out of it by a question that could be answered with the minimal effort of looking slightly up and reading signs that are about 3ft long and 5 ft wide with large lettering... its annoying.

 

Because in stores like mine, we don't kick folks out as soon as the clock hits closing time. So other customers approaching the store will see customers roaming about and wonder, "Oh? Maybe they are still open?" even though technically we are not.

 

I can't stand selling crap. All kinds of crap happens. Someone buys a game and I can't find it. I'm pretty sure I sold that game and I'm wondering what happened. Then I discover the inventory quantity was somehow set to 4. Oh brother.

 

This climate thing is out of hand even Captain Planet showed how in the future years of the far off 2000's water was supposed to rise and acid rain was supposed to ear people's skin off and now people are acting like it's shocking news.

Nerds and dorks are still laughed at and made fun of, geeks not so much. Most people would respect geeks in this day and age, because they tend to have better social skills and can afford iPhone 7s (or whatever the latest model is, I don't pay attention).

There is a difference between a nerd, dork and geek btw.
