JESUS! Look at the MF-special edition, and for 10 bucks more. LittleBigPlanet 2 Updates: Official Date and Retail Goodness!!! – PlayStation Blog TRON AND GONZO FTW!
I hope they do a Collector's Edition for Europe (especially the UK). It does sound like they will though, reading the blog.
...Oh wow. Thanks for the heads-up, Prowl! That convinced me to try to pre-order the Collectors' Edition, but apparently it's not available for pre-order yet at Amazon. Bollocks.
Yeah, that shelf thingy is something I would actually use for my games, and the Muppet sackboys are freakin perfect. I'm really curious about how one could maybe make an action adventure game with this game.
My understanding, and not based on anything quoted, is that since you can now tile levels together (branch them out and stuff) and since you can make Birds Eye View Races, that you could possibly make an overhead world and explore it. But this is all speculation. Of course they did list RPG in their little boast about what types of games you could make, they just didn't explain how.
Gamestop.com has the Collectors' Edition for preorder, folks-- just a heads up. Well, but RPGs have stuff like "leveling up", different weapons, currency, etc. I'm curious about that, in particular.
Went to gamestop the other day to preorder the collectors edition just for the Sackboy and bookends. Now, Ive not been following the game, so what do I have to look forward to in LBP2 that was not in LBP1? Also, is this game going to have a longer campaign mode? Its great to have user made stuff and all, but the campaign by MM was the core of that game for me and I really hope there is more of that.
Apart from them touting the ability to make full games (multi levels, with cinematics and crap like that), you have the ability to make more than just platformers (shooters, racing games, RTSs and RPGs, according to them). I remember hearing something about inventory, but don't quote me on that one. Also, you can now program controls into objects. That is, you no longer have to fake a space ship. You can create one and assign the functions of the PS3 controller to it. This also works with NPC sackboys that can be programmed to act a certain way or you can record motions into them. You have the ability to simply make movies with the game now (record your own voice, and program characters to do things on cue). That's what I gathered from the interview, but I know there was some other crap too.
Damn, I was weening myself of buying special editions of games, but if that comes out in the UK I may have to sink some of my student loan into it.
This will be my first ever special edition purchase! hmm what can i trade in to make it cheaper or near regular price?
Everything i own now I'd never trade(at least as of right now). i traded in my last batch of probably wont play again games to get WFC for $15 bucks
