Good point - it certainly doesn't feel that way. Brawn also apparently got an updated figure around that time.

Yeah I definitely agree on Blaster getting a proper update as well as his cassettes. The last one off Soundwave really didn't feel like a proper update.

Bad toys that helped kill a dying toyline vs a bad rushed movie that killed a movie franchise. They both not exactly the highest tier of quality.
And Brave is dope, but it's also a bit of a sign that a brand is dead weight when they have to completely reboot the brand under a different name to pretend it's not the same toys to sell them to japanese children. Transformers was not in a good place at the time.

I still wish every day that the Brave series would get assimilated into transformers so we could get those characters and designs as new toys.

    Percy! Nice! Bought on sight!

Starscream with his coronation cape, crown (and assumed ceremonial armor)? So down! And possibly a throne for him to shine on before Galvatron "gives him a hint"? Yes please. :)

Hopefully we'll get a SS86 Blaster at some point.

Welp, time to decide if I am all in or all out on the Movie 6 stuff. Either I track down the cybertron cliffjumper and gear up for seeker repaints or get off the pot.

Transformers Franchise Box Office History - The Numbers

Going by the numbers above, the franchise grossed 4.8 billion in unadjusted dollars. Take out $5 million for the animated film and we have... $4.8 billion. Take out Bumblebee and we are around $4.4 billion. Generally speaking you double production costs (a touch over $1 billion) for marketing, so let's say $2 billion, leaving $2.8 billion. Last Knight (according to Wikipedia) supposedly lost Paramount $100 million, so let's knock that down to $2.7 billion. And that's for the films. It does not account for the toy sales, tee shirts, bed sheets, school supplies, underoos, amusement park rides and everything else that comes in the merchandising.

As for time, yes, 10 years ago. G1 was 35 years ago. Beast Wars 25. Hasbro has no trouble marketing nostalgia, and for a lot of people, the Bay films are their Transformers the way G1 is mine.

As for The Fallen, all that tells me is he was kind of a shit character with a shit design and shit alt mode. Megatron gets away with it because he's Megatron.

Thought that Brawn was an 86 toy at first. For the record, I would take a Brawn made to 86 Jazz standards, in an instant.

I'm in for Skywarp and right now that's it. I don't need another bunny hole to jump down.

According to recent rumors in the "I'm Drunk and I Quit Leak Squad" thread Hasbro is going to finish off the 84 minibots in the next trilogy. I'm going to assume the presence of Brawn in a movie line next year means they'll do Windcharger or Gears (probably Gears) first.

Thank goodness! I have TR Perceptor on my TFTM shelf but he doesn’t look quite right. Looking forward to Junkions as well, hopefully the riding mechanic works better this time.

God, I can NOT wait until Soundwave gets revealed! He's easily been my most anticipated Bumblebee figure. I want to see what he turns into, and I wonder if he'll include Ravage? Aren't we supposed to have official SS reveals this month?

Any chance Starscream is a new mold, or is this the voyager with coronation accessories?

I love G1 starscream to death but I really burned out on that Classics mold like a decade ago. I'd buy a new mold in a second.

It's a shame in one way, despite characterisation and their faces, the designs were pretty good and solid.

But then again I have no issue divorcing designs from characters, I hate cyberverse bumblebee but like the deluxe for example.

Ngl I’m loving every figure in this wave. Having a real hard time restricting my interest. Exciting. Cybertron modes most likely, but still, really excited to see what they look like.

Holding out for an inclusive BBMV Arcee figure, hope they deliver later on.
