Generally I agree, though I don't really care for any of the beast modes on the Kingdom figures. So those have all been a pass.

Transmetals are one of the few lines I'm content to get resold, if that's the route they're gonna take. With a few exceptions, I think it's one of the best mass market lines we've ever gotten. I don't need the wheel reinvented, especially since I don't really think Hasbro is producing figures that are markedly better than them now.

Heard on another site that these are rumored to be transmetal. So rereleases of the original transmetal.

That mold was lost after bot on 2001 Tigatron was made from it, maybe it’s been found since, maybe not

Wasn't that mold lost after BotCon Tigatron? Could be totally wrong about it but I thought I read that it was planned to be reissued for one of the previous anniversaries until the mold couldn't be found.

    Edit: ninja'd

Would be great if these are the original 1996 releases without any changes in their old style boxes.
I would order them all and wait for the complete show cast. Tigatron, Skorponok etc.

The only thing that's not making sense to me is that if that were the case, why is Primal, a voyager, priced the same as Megatron, a Leader, if these are in fact the Kingdom molds.

That is unless Primal will come with something extra to justify being priced the same as Megs.

I’m guessing these are reissues of older toys over new figures in retro packaging if only because Primal and Megatron both are both $50.

I’m sure it isn’t the ultra Megatron because there’s no way that gets sold for close to $50 at today’s money. Transmetal seems a lot more likely.

Well, it is a Wal-Mart exclusive many likely overlooked. I had interest with picking those up, but i sorta had to save up money at the time.

Keep in mind Astrotrain & all the current reissues are msrp at same cost (even if you can get them cheaper that's their cost). And I believe S1 OP/Beast*M would be in the $60 range now considering the type of, & amount of plastic used in those. The smaller & more akin to the genobe reissues of today make much more sense.

You can get unofficial version of him coming soon if your interested. Looks pretty rad actually. I had all the Beast Wars in 2001 but I ended up having nothing but my TM Prime (monkey surfer) & BM Megs once 2002 hit.

Maybe in blue? It was part of their walmart re use old figures for thier first big for'ee back using dinobots during 2014s LOUSY toyline days. ;)

Hm, I hope they do the right thing and scale up Megatron to his proper leader class size

My original Transmetal Megatron hasn't broken yet, so I'm not sure if I should get this if it's still the wrong size

The thing that gets me is the possibility of TM Cheetor going from $23 US.

That just seems a bit low, no?

I’m in for any and all vintage reissues. Theses are clearly the first wave of figures, I can’t see hasbro pricing tm primal and megs at those prices. I’m delighted to see more and more beast wars stuff being put out by hasbro. Can’t wait to see how they will look if there’ll be any changes in paint or headsculpts etc. Bring it on.... BEAST WARS!

Okay I think these are in fact reissues.....at least for Primal and Megatron and Cheetor with Rattrap a recasting of the original mold. OR, these are POTP Optimal Optimus, Kingdom Megs, Cheetor and Rattrap in retro packaging but I think the prices are too high for that...especially for Rattrap.

TransMetals make no sense, especially as Walmart exclusives. It makes more sense to reissue the original figures considering the new show would essentially promote those toys. Plus Walmart already has a line of vintage figures (the latest being more recent molds because the originals were lost if I remember correctly). These aren’t the Netflix figures, so this isn’t that Cheetor. I think it’s obvious these are going to be the 1996 molds, considering Optimus and Megs are the same price. Plus, ultras and leaders are about the same scale, and originally selling for $20, a $50 price tag today makes sense. Can’t imagine these being anything else.

I am curious what they’ll do for the packaging... I’d be surprised if they returned to blister packages, so Cheetor and Rattrap could possibly be getting new box designs which excites me (and possibly a future Blackarachnia which I would kill for). But will this be TransMetal Rattrap painted up in his original deco like his Legends card, or does the lack of price (unlike the vintage Cheetor listing) indicate it might be the original basic figure?
