Yup, I doubt he will be that figure. Rumble most likely will be more akin to the masterpiece figure. Detailed with lots of attributes like his piledrivers and 2 guns. I bet there will be hints towards an SS86 Soundwave. Starscream already is a redo of the earthrise figure with some tweaks like his fingers. I am going to get that Starscream.

And? It could come packed with extras like a tape case and his guns that mount on the back. Point being, thus far any do overs from WFC in SS86 have used the WFC mold but with extra accessories included if it gets a bump in price point, so automatically assuming that it's a new mold because it's SS86 may be setting oneself up for a disappointing release

Given there's strong rumors of a Netflix Soundwave rerelease, a SS86 Soundwave isn't very likely.

First commandment of TF collectors: Never underestimate the ability of HasTak to reuse a mold into oblivion to milk your coin.

Pretty much. All I'm saying is that I advise caution, expect a reuse based on the current precedent and be pleasantly surprised if it is indeed a better mold that is still compatible with the WFC Soundwave molds.

Look at SS86 Starscream it is the earthrise figure with enhanced possibility and extra stuff to give you the coronation version. Must say it works. But this is probably what they are going to aim for. Give us more fancy upgrades of figures we already got. It is a big bummer if you already own a version and feel like you don't need extra, as well as a tight wallet. Me personally my earthrise figure is a bit paint chipped out of the box so I am getting this new version. Rumble in the SS86 line just tells me we get Soundwave, Frenzy, Ravage Lazerbeak Buzzsaw and whatever repaints they can think up. It is just the easiest way to cash in for them.
If they do Soundwave justice they'll articulate his fingers so you can do or not do his finger button pose. An official lamppost mode and probably his original weapon/handpieces. A mini masterpiece as it were. But you'll be looking at upmarket prices.
I feel they are going the same route you see with GI Joe, which works. Selling the same figure twice but with different paint apps and acessoires.

I mean, we'd be paying for Rumble & Ratbat without Ratbat, in that case. Not sure if that makes a whole lot of sense, especially since Ratbat's also in the movie.

Don't get me wrong, I expect Hasbro to give us a Siege Rumble, *possibly* with a cartoon-accurate deco, with piledrivers and maybe guns to fit over his hands. But I'm still holding Hasbro accountable if that's all we get.

No, I am assuming that it's a new mold because the micromaster / minicons were deeply unpopular and trying to sell ONE when they couldn't sell them at the same price for two is very unlikely. It'd be burning money.

Last I heard of it SS86 Rumble is going to be a new mold. Still positive on Legacy Soundwave being a Netflix repack, which leads to the question of...if Blaster comes with Eject, who does Soundwave end up coming with? Frenzy?

Considering piledrivers, back mounted guns and other potential accessories would probably use as much plastic as ratbat did, I don't really feel like there'd be much to "hold them accountable" for.

If it's new I'll be pleasantly surprised, but not sure how they'd get a core class figure to be compatible with Soundwave, and if it's not compatible with Soundwave then it's a wasted release in my opinion.

Why would Deathsaurus be the price of a Takara city bot ? Deathsaurus would be leader class scale and if it was a Haslab project, around $100 should be sufficient to cover any extra effort they would put in beyond the $50 price point of a retail leader class figure.

Would Eject and Rumble even be the same mold? It doesn't make sense for the mold to be both a Core class figure and an accessory to a Voyager class that doesn't increase the price.

Maybe as much plastic, but Ratbat had a higher parts count and engineering than just 4 accessories would have. Yeah, I think holding them accountable for that would be warranted. Paying $9.99 for a figure that only has 7 points of articulation is unreasonable.

How does he work with WFC Soundwave? Do they still transform into cassettes?

That's also assuming there's nothing to the accessories. Didn't the MP piledrivers have moving parts?
