I never owned the toy (or any Prime toy, for that matter), but isn't First Edition Bulkhead already a fantastic rendition of the character? Methinks re-releasing him would be a good idea, especially since he was so hard to find (along with the other First Edition toys).

 

I wish they re-released him. I would stop being mad about legacy and just buy it. But no…. Need $100+ for that thing….

Yeah, I only remember them saying that Starscream has a retool and people deducing it's Jhiaxus because he's the only other Voyager jet.

Was it said whether or not the retool wasn't far behind for release? Like is there a chance the retool is a Skywarp for later down the line or selects or something?

 

I don't believe that was said, but either way a Skywarp has gotta be on the cards EVENTUALLY.

I also wonder how they'll do the sword because I imagine folks wouldn't want it to look 'chopped up' like the original toy, and I thought of a way. It would have to transform differently, but I imagine either, a) you fold the wing in half or, and this is the one I'm unsure of because I'm not sure if it could be done at the price point, but Armada Starscream is simple enough that maaaaybe??

Anyway, it transforms like the old toy, but it's separated into 'panels' and you flip them inside out?

The way he worded it made it sound like the base toy was going to become Starscream rather than turning Starscream into someone else, so I don't think Skywarp would be that base toy. He feels more like a later addition. Or maybe a simultaneous project for Selects?

How does that translate to "Cybertron Metroplex" / "Galaxy Force Megalo Convoy"?

If "no one to display it with" was also part of a later hint, Metrotitan would still fit the profile. Although that would be more unlikely due to being more obscure than Gen Selects Black Zarak.

 

In a list he gave, he flat-out named Cybertron Metroplex as the Titan.

 

I wouldn't mind the sword as it was personally but who knows. The T30 swords were thin and flipped up which kinda worked for me. The original toy had really thick wings so that I'm certain is something this will improve which would already make the sword FEEL more like a sword. Aside from that though while it might tarnish the underside a tad depending I could actually imagine thin bars connecting the sword segments with the components sliding apart, rotating, then sliding back into position. I think that could look pretty good in both modes and still have the old feel to it.
