Maybe we should build on the comment from @Jtprime17 who seems to know what's in the box and says it's something unexciting... So we should think about a recolor that none of us would ever want to buy or something...

 

That isn't what he said. He said his update wasn't exciting because he didn't know what was in the box.

 

It's (finally) movie year, and we know the 'bro likes doing package refreshes and new renditions of characters that are supposed to be in the film (look at all the Arcee/Wheeljack/Cheetor PRs in Generations over the last couple years/coming soon).

Mirage is in ROTB so has name recognition/synergy.

Mark wants to complete Diaclone.

Mark also wants to do Machine Wars.

Do they dare drop another Mirage reuse so soon after Leadfoot/Crasher last year?

 

If we get Machine Wars Mirage but it’s 1. Buzzworthy and 2. A repaint of S/K Mirage instead of a new, smaller mold then I’ll be disappointed. I highly doubt that that’s what it’ll be though. I’d reckon Diaclone Mirage over that.

Why not red diaclone style? would be just as likely (see silverstreak, a diaclone recolor one)

 

I was joking about a redeco that nobody would ever buy. Red Diaclone style is very much something that I would snap up without a second thought.

 

In fact I would buy it too, but I think there are very few of us, otherwise they would have already done it... The mold is now 5 years old...

It could be a G2 Stunticon (maybe Wildrider). I was thinking it could also be Mirage in Diaclone colours to support his big role in the new film.

 

Diaclone Mirage is kind of the safe, boring guess (not that he's not wanted, but just red car for the Red Card company is really on the nose). Something beast-y would play into the RotB merchandise right now. I'm leaning towards chaos and think it'll be G2 Dead End. All the G2 Stunticons coming out in different packaging at different retailers is the anarchic distribution I crave

ETA: obviously, Motormaster would be at Pulse and Breakdown would get shoehorned into an Amazon Wreckers line

 

Eh I hope so too. I like Dead End's G2 colour scheme.

Toy colors is basically KD Airazor. She was a peregrine in the show.

Don't get me wrong, I can think of at least a dozen Mirage reuses I'd snap up ASAP if they went and did them! Just poking fun lol.

Let's take it a step further and do the VHS Airazor (toy accurate head too if there's one on the sprue maybe?) - though I feel like she's more likely to get tossed in a multipack since we'll have SS and ROTB Deluxes sharing shelf space already at the big box stores. Would make sense for them to drop some variant of her from the Kingdom mold to go along with the movie though.
